What’s new in Wedding Season 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

While the wedding season itself hasn’t changed for 2021, there are four seasonal items exclusive to Nook Shopping in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

These items can be purchased at any time during the wedding season, which lasts throughout June, but are tied to the five-item-per-day limit for Nook Shopping orders.

Here are Nook Shopping’s seasonal items, along with their pricing, for the wedding season:

  • Flower Petal Basket – 1200 Bells
  • Wedding bell – 4,500 bells
  • Wedding Door Plate – 1,400 Bells
  • Bridal Ring Pillow – 2200 Bells

How to start the Wedding Season event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The wedding season begins with a phone call from Harvey, which you will receive the first time you play New Horizons during June. He will explain to you that he has some visitors at Photopia and that he needs help organizing the photographs of him.

To visit Photopia, which is located on Harv Island, go to your island’s airport.

Once there, talk to Orville and begin your fun journey through his conversation tree. To travel to Harv Island, you must first select “I want to fly!”. and then ‘Visit Harv’s Island’. Orville will then double-check his decision before allowing him to leave.

Talk to Orville to visit Harv’s Island.

After reaching Harv Island, you will notice that it has some visitors. Walk around and you’ll meet alpacas Reese and Cyrus. Harvey will explain to you that the couple has come to take some photos to celebrate their anniversary and needs you to rearrange the furniture, because apparently he can’t do it himself.

Agree to help and you’ll enter Harvey’s cabin to begin your career in wedding photography. (Or is it the post-wedding photo?)

Wedding Season Event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Explained

The Wedding Season event in New Horizons is all about taking photos celebrating Cyrus and Reese’s wedding. However, before you start arranging the furniture, you should see what the happy couple really wants.

Head over to Reese and she’ll give you some hints on how she’d like you to decorate her wedding photos. It might ask you to focus on the colors pink and white, for example, which means you should include furniture in these colors.

Reese will also explain that Cyrus has created a collection of special wedding-themed items, including furniture and wallpaper, that you can use to decorate the room. This furniture can be found within the Event Furniture tab.

Once you’re done talking to Reese and Cyrus, it’s time to set the stage for the wedding.

Arranging furniture for the wedding season is very similar to how to organize furniture inside your home.

Open the item storage by pressing down on the D-Pad, and from there you can select any furniture you want to place in the scene. These pieces of furniture can then be dragged and dropped into position, as well as rotated.

You can find the wedding items in the Event tab.

However, there are some differences in the way you organize furniture in your home.

The first is that, as long as the furniture is in your inventory, you can place it in the Wedding Season photo as many times as you want. This means that even if you only own one copy of this item, such as the cherry blossom bonsai, you can place several pink bonsai in your wedding season photo.

The second change is that, if you want to customize a piece of furniture, then you press the X button when you have it selected. Doing so will open the customization screen for that particular item and allow you to change its design without the need for customization kits.

Third and finally, you can move yourself, Reese, and Cyrus around the room by selecting you and dragging yourself and them around the room. This is especially useful if you want to experience where the couple is standing or if a character is simply in the way.

Once you feel like the room has the right wedding theme, talk to Reese again and she will ask you to take a photo using the Camera app on your Nook phone.

Now you can take as many photos as you want, changing the filter and angle, until you take a photo you are happy with. If you feel like your avatar is getting in your way, pressing – will make your character disappear.

Although Reese will only look at the last photo you took, so make sure your last photo is perfect.

Don’t worry if you don’t meet their standards, wedding season lasts throughout the month of June, so you can always come back another day.

Heart Crystals and Wedding Items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Explained

In exchange for helping Reese and Cyrus recreate their wedding day in New Horizons, you will receive several heart crystals; The better you fulfill Reese’s request, the more heart crystals you will receive.

Talk to Cyrus to exchange your heart crystals for wedding items.

You can then exchange these Heart Crystals for wedding items by speaking to Cyrus, although you can only order eight items per day.

The wedding items, along with their Heart crystal cost, are:

  • DIY Wedding Wand Recipe

Remember: Reese and Cyrus will be on Harv’s Island throughout June, so you don’t have to win all the furniture on the same day.

The Animal Crossing 2.0 and Happy Home Paradise update is here! We can help you with the new additions, including where to find Brewster, Gyroids, new villagers, ordinances, new fences, storage shed, new hairstyles, Froggy Chair, group stretches, and Kapp’n boat tours. Cooking can now be unlocked, so you need to know how to make flour and sugar, as well as how to grow carrots, potatoes and tomatoes. In the meantime, if you’re new to Animal Crossing, our New Horizons tips can help you with the basics. From the beginning, there are fish and insects to catch, flowers and fruits to grow. A long-term goal is to increase your Happy Home Academy score. Finally, you need tools like the new ladder and pole to fully explore.

Wedding season dates in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The wedding season in New Horizons runs from Tuesday, June 1 to Wednesday, June 30. As for time, it starts and ends at 5am these days, which is the shared reset time for each island.

This means that you have the entire month of June to participate in this event and, presumably, it will continue the same in June of next year.

If you want to participate in Wedding Season, you must first make sure you have downloaded the latest patch for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will be prompted when you launch the game.

This update contains a variety of new features, including Redd, the Museum art gallery, and the ability to grow bushes on your island.

Just remember: if you miss the wedding season this year, you’ll have to wait quite a while for the event to return next year.
