Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Mayoral Election walkthrough

The Mayor’s Election is a side quest made up of several smaller quests in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. All is not well in Hateno Village, current mayor Reede and popular designer Cece have clashed, resulting in both fighting to be elected mayor of Hateno (or in Reede’s case, to remain mayor).

Everything related to this quest line in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom requires you to stay in Hateno Village. This can be a welcome break from all the Moblins, Horriblins, Lizalfos, and general chaos happening elsewhere in Hyrule. On the other hand, Link will be forced to spy on people, obtain their secrets and bribe potential followers.

Without further ado, we will show you how to complete the Election of Mayor quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to complete the mayoral election quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To complete the Election for Mayor mission, you must complete several smaller missions that revolve around the candidates, Reede and Cece, before the election can take place. They can be done in any order, but you must first complete the Team Cece or Team Reede mission.

Here is a list of the mayoral election missions you need to complete:

When the elections begin, simply watch the event unfold and you will eventually need to talk to Cece again. When you’ve talked to her, go and find her standing next to her hat in her shop.

Talk to Cece one last time to get the ever so stylish ‘Cece’s Hat’ for everything you’ve done for Hateno.

After you get the hat and finish this quest, Cece’s shop will have some armor for you to purchase. When we went there, she had:

  • Hylian Pants – 120 rupees
  • Hylian Hood – 70 rupees
  • Royal Guard Uniform: Rs 2,200
  • Hylian Tunic – 130 rupees

However, if you’re looking for something a little special, talk to Cece to find out that she has a private collection of rare pieces from all over Hyrule. To see them, he talks to her and selects the ‘Show me’ conversation option when it appears.

You will then be able to see all the other armor pieces it has in stock. When we visited it, it had the following:

However, their prices are quite high for the sets you can find simply by exploring Hyrule.
