Redcrest is a fruit that can be found growing in even the most hostile desert environments of Sumeru, and is an important material resource for promoting some characters in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact 3.1 introduced Candace, the four-star Hydro character with a polearm. Redcrest is one of his ascension materials, so you’ll want to collect these desert fruits to increase his power.
This guide covers everything you need to know about how you can use Redcrest and where to find Redcrest.
Where to find Red Crest in Genshin Impact
Redcrests are found exclusively in the desert region west of Sumeru, which became available in Genshin Impact update 3.1. However, the desert lacks as many landmarks as the forest region, so it’s best to check out the included screenshots where we’ve marked the Redcrest locations.
Starting at the first Statue of the Seven at the entrance to Aaru Village, head just to the right of the bridge leading into the village, there you can drop down to an area with three Redcrests growing on a clump of cacti. Then, back at the statue, turn around and go up a slope that will take you along a path that circles the outskirts of the town. On this path you will find a Redcrest near the start and another as you go.
Continue down this path and you’ll pass a teleport point, then reach a rocky underpass, where you’ll also find two Redcrests. Continue further along this path and there will be another Redcrest in the distance that you can glide towards.
If you return to the teleport point you passed, there are more Red Ridges you can reach just southwest and west of Dar al-Shifa. Three red crests can be found growing on cacti in a small ravine to the left of the landmark. Climb above this ravine and you’ll find a Redcrest above, while if you head east from here you’ll find some cacti with another Redcrest to pick up.
From the teleport point south of Dar al-Shifa, head east and across the sands to find a Redcrest. Now return to that waypoint and go down to find a Redcrest, then continue south to find another cactus that you will have to climb up to collect another Redcrest.
Then, from the teleport point southwest of Dar al-Shifa, look east and you will see some cacti, but, if you go over the nearby rocks, you will find more cacti right behind it with two Red Crests growing. Now head south and drop to the ground to find a cactus with a Redcrest and if you continue along this cliff you will find another cactus with two Redcrests.
Then, from the teleport point south of Sobek Oasis, head southeast up a slope to find a cactus spot with three red crests, as well as some mushroom enemies. From the same waypoint you can slide down the cliff to the southwest passing many mineral extraction sites to reach some trees and cacti. A Redcrest can be collected by climbing one of the cacti.
From another teleport point further south of the previous waypoint, head southeast and you will find two Red Crests growing on a tall cactus; Fortunately, they are growing in their base. From here, head northeast and glide down until you pass over a red tree, before seeing another red tree and a cactus together. Go down to this cactus and you can collect two Redcrests.
From the teleport point at the southernmost part of the map, head northwest and across the sands and you will eventually reach a group of cacti and two Redcrests.
Next, head to the southwest side of the map and, starting at the Dune of Elusion teleport point, head south towards a cliff where you’ll find some enemies perched nearby, though you should be able to sneak past them quickly. the nearby cacti and collect two Redcrests. Then head west and you’ll find a Redcrest growing on a small cactus, while another Redcrest can be found a little further along next to some ruins.
Back to the same waypoint: Head northwest to find a group of cacti with two Redcrests, then continue west, where to your left is a Redcrest with enemies nearby, while, to your right, is a Redcrest that It grows on a solitary cactus. Continue along this path southwest until you find three cacti, with a Redcrest on each. You can continue along this path until you find another Redcrest on the way to the Magma Dune, or simply teleport to that waypoint’s waypoint to get there faster. The cactus where Redcrest grows is next to a palm tree.
From the Magma Dune, head northwest through mostly desert until you reach some ruins where there are some palm trees and cacti, giving you a total of three Redrests.
Next, head to the northern section of the map where the Garden of Infinite Pillars domain is located to find cacti and a total of four Red Ridges nearby. Complete the puzzle to access the domain and reach them more easily.
From here, head east towards the Dune of Carouses. Along the way, you’ll encounter some enemies hanging around some ruins, where there are also cacti from which you can collect two Redcrests. Then, past the Carouses Dune southeast of the temple, there is a mini oasis with palm trees and some cacti, with two Redcrests in play.
Just southeast of the Carouses Dune is a Statue of the Seven. From here you can find nearby Redcrests that grow from three points.
First, head northwest to pick up a Redcrest. Then return to the statue and this time head north, using the four-conductor seal to speed up your journey, before descending again to lower ground where you will find cacti with two Red Crests.
Returning to the statue, this time head east and slide down until you reach some rocks where you can mine some ore and collect two Red Crests.
Southeast of this statue and east of the Khemenu Temple is another teleport point where you can also fast travel to collect two red crests growing on a cactus next to it.
Then we reach the northeast of the map, near Khaj-Nisut and Aaru Village, although the teleport point you must use is the one located northeast of the Dune of Carouses.
Head southeast of this landmark, grab onto a large rock in front of you, and you’ll come across a cactus with a Redcrest; Continue straight and further down you will find another group of cacti with two Redcrests.
Return to the waypoint and this time head east to reach a path on lower ground. The closest thing to you is a Redcrest, and if you cross to the other side, along the cliff you will find two more Redcrests. From here, climb up the rocks, staying to the left where there is less of an overhang, and once up, continue straight until you see some cacti in front of you where you can collect two Redcrests.
Finally, from the teleport point north of Aaru Village, simply head west to find two Redcrests practically on a straight path. There is still a spot of Redcrests to farm, which is between this waypoint and the previous one, but you can also get them in this run. For these, simply continue southwest, passing some bare trees and cacti, and you’ll eventually come across some tall cacti near two idle enemy machines, although they will attack you if you get too close. Pass them and then climb the cacti to get two Redcrests.
