Shipwreck
The doomed cargo tanker known as Vodianoy ran aground in the low estuary of swampy terrain, less than a kilometer west of the Zordaya prison complex.
missile silos
A team of operators discovered missile silos hidden beneath the city’s three war memorials:
- Jarvdinsk Spomenik on Arklov Peak military base
- Zoszni Spomenik southeast of the Novi Grazna hills
- Styor Spomenik in Tavorsk Park
Due to contamination, safety protocol requires the complete closure of the following locations:
- Underground
- stadium garage
- Bunkers 00, 04, 05, 06, 09, 11
Weapons
Increased bullet speed of the Charlie tactical rifle.
New weapons added:
- FARA 83 – AR, unlocked through Battle Pass level 15
- LC10 – SMG, unlocked through Battle Pass Level 31
- Machete – Melee, unlocked via Weapon Challenge or Shop Pack
Added new weapon unlock challenges:
Added reactive blueprints.
The Reactive property allows operators to show off their skills in real time by evolving the appearance of their weapon with kills during a match. For example, the “Vulture Exo” emits green energy through the skeleton of a bird that envelops the entire weapon.
As an operator earns kills, this energy changes from blue to orange and finally red, indicating how good of a hand they have in the match.
Cold War Attachment Updates
Stat bar pros, cons, and values now more accurately reflect its functionality. The functionality of the following attachments has also been adjusted:
bully grip
- Before: Melee Quickness
- After: movement speed, hip fire accuracy
Mounted flashlight
- Before: Enemy Reveal Distance
- After: Movement Speed, Aim Walking Movement Speed
Tiger Team Spotlight
- Before: Enemy Reveal Distance

How to play
- The loot generated in Verdansk has been updated… and now includes two new weapons: the FARA 83 assault rifle and the LC10 submachine gun.
- Players who are continually on the accelerator will take more damage over time.
- Previously unlocked Season Challenges can be completed after the season ends and during future seasons.
- Intel missions have been removed from Warzone
- Balanced XP gain from KingSlayer and other unique modes to match BR core XP.
General fixes
- Players should no longer spawn outside of the Gulag combat area.
- Addressed ammo resupply timing when equipping stopping power rounds on Cold War weapons.
- Fixed several issues with crosshair streaming.
- The “Grinch Forest Spirit” skin now renders correctly at all distances.
- The “Gem Cutter” silenced assault rifle is now properly silenced.
- The “Indestructible” operator mission will now correctly track when kills are obtained with the High Alert perk active
- Mac-10 weapon unlock challenge now correctly tracks when getting 2 quick kills using an SMG
- Operator missions now require the partner operator to be equipped
- Fixed an issue where War Tracks would not play correctly.
- Fixed an issue that caused the heartbeat sensor to incorrectly display the player with Ghost Perk active in Kill Cam
- Prestige banners now include correct text and award stickers

Modes
Rebirth Resurgence Extreme (Launch Week)
Up to 99 players will descend on Rebirth Island for an incredibly frantic fight for supremacy, as they seek to eliminate every last member of enemy squads to prevent them from getting a second, third or even fourth chance at revenge.
Like Resurgence, squad members can respawn if their respawn countdown reaches zero and at least one of their allies is still alive, and specific caches around the map will refresh their items frequently to ensure there are no shortage of firepower on the island.
Exfiltration (in season)
In this mode, a portable radio comes to life and connects to the Internet somewhere in Verdansk. The operator who obtains this radio and keeps it for a sufficient period of time automatically wins the game for his team.
To ensure that your exfiltration is not by the rules, anyone who has the radio is marked on the tactical map as being under a most wanted contract (high value target) and all operators are also given information on how much more time the owner of the current radio. until they win.
Aside from this new win condition, the same Battle Royale rules apply. Expect a circle collapse and a winner will be determined by the last team standing, in case no one receives an early ejection over the radio.

Free Sprout Test (February 25 – March 4)
Celebrate the launch of Season 2 with free access to a new Zombies experience known as Outbreak, action-packed multiplayer maps (including the new map Apocalypse), and more in Black Ops Cold War from February 25 to March 4. Onslaught is also available to PlayStation owners during this access period as well.
Outbreak Challenge Event (February 25 – March 11)
Earn charms, stickers, emblems, calling cards, and weapon blueprints by completing challenges in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Outbreak mode. This event can be seen in the main menus of Warzone, Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer and Zombies.
2XP + 2WXP weekend
Starting February 26, all players will earn Double XP and Double Weapon XP all weekend in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone to celebrate the start of Season Two!
Earn double progress toward your next prestige and max out those weapons until 10 a.m. PT on March 1. PlayStation players also get an additional 24 hours of 2XP and 2WXP starting February 25.
