Vanillite 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Vanilluxe in Pokémon Go

This week’s Featured Hour is all about the Pokémon Fresh Snow. Yes, we totally thought this was the Terribly Designed Frozen Pokémon, but there you have it… This means, of course, that it’s time to look for a perfect Vanillite in Pokémon Go.

Pokémon’s poster of bad, lazy design choices is, unsurprisingly, truly awful in Pokémon Go. When Arceus was handing out the stat cards and move sets, he clearly didn’t have time for the most basic Pokémon. It’s horrible across the board, from raiding to PvP.

Speaking of PvP, the double-catch Stardust bonus that runs alongside this Featured Hour is always a fantastic bonus, especially if you’re building Pokémon for battle. So while this is a useless Pokémon, be sure to catch as many as you can if you’re short on Stardust!

Vanillite IV Stats 100% Perfect in Pokémon Go

This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Vanillite with perfect IV stats.

Vanilla.

“Perfect” means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the max build, 100% IV, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. However, because of how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in the Master League.

Of course, you can’t see a Pokémon’s IV without catching it first, but with a little research beforehand, you can quickly spot a perfect Vanillite based on CP alone.

If you are at level 30 (or higher), you should ideally look for the following CPs to obtain a perfect Vanillita 15/15/15:

  • Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 886 CP
  • Level 35 (Weather Boosted Wild Max CP) – 959 CP
  • The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.

    Is Vanilluxe good at PvP?

Would you send a smart ice cream into battle? This is not the same as a fire-breathing dragon, a turtle with cannons, or a dinosaur that controls the power of the natural world. It’s a sensitive ice cream.

    Luxury vanilla.

No, Vanilluxe is as terrible as it looks in Go Battle League. For the record, he’s also terrible at raiding – you’re better off treating him as Dex filler and nothing more.

If you’re set on running it in Go Battle League, run Astonish, Blizzard, and Signal Beam. Overall, this is not a good moveset. In Great League, this translates, believe it or not, into victories against Shadow Mewtwo, Haunter, Gengar, Shadow Gengar, and Shadow Golurk. Losses will come from Shadow Gligar, Medicham, Swampert, Umbreon, and Cresselia.

In Ultra League you can beat Shadow Gengar, Clodsire, Articuno and both the regular and Shadow Abomasnow. The losses come from Poliwrath, Steelix, Giratina, Jellicent and Cresselia.

While you are eligible for the Master League since your CP is high enough that you won’t immediately retire, save yourself the trouble: there are literally hundreds of better options out there.

The Season of Eternal Journeys has arrived in Pokémon Go! The Along the Roads event is here, bringing with it the Gift Exchange and the quest A Route to New Friendships. During it, take the time to try out Routes and Party Play while you hunt for rare Pokémon, battle in Go Battle League, or compete in PokéStop Showcases.

Is there a shiny Vanillite in Pokémon Go?

Shiny Vanillite will be released as part of this event!

However, since Spotlight Hours does not have an enhanced shine rate, the chances of finding a shine are the same as finding one in the wild. You simply have a better chance of finding one because of the number it generates.

What does shiny vanillite look like?

As you can see below, the shiny vanillite changes its light blue to pink. As it evolves, the pink becomes an increasingly darker shade of violet/blue. It’s a shame they didn’t make this into different ice cream flavors, but the lazy design is lazy…

Other tips for this hour of attention

Besides trying to catch a shiny Vanillite in Pokémon Go, there are other good reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight:

    • The best reason is of course the double catch Stardust bonus that runs throughout the hour. This gives you the chance to collect Stardust twice as fast as usual, and each Vanillite captured will give you 200 Stardust (double the usual 100). If the in-game weather is Snowy, this adds an additional 50 Stardust (double the usual 25), and this stacks with a Star Piece to give a x1.5 multiplier to any Stardust obtained. This means that each Weather-Boosted Vanillite captured while wearing a Star Piece will be worth 375 Stardust!
    • If you’re a newcomer, this Featured Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Vanillite candies to fully evolve this Pokémon and enter its evolution, Vanilluxe, into the Pokédex, that is, when you enter the game.
    • Thanks to Vanillite being an Ice type, catching a bunch during this Featured Hour will add progress to your respective catch bonus medal.

Spotlight Hour events only last one hour: from 6 pm to 7 pm (local time). Come back next week to find out who the first Spotlight Pokémon of 2024 is!

Good luck finding a perfect Vanillite!
