Gears 5 Act 2 – Chapter 2: Relic Weapon Locations in the Wild

Here’s where to find all the Relic Weapon locations in Act 2, Chapter 2:

Executor Relic Location

As you begin Chapter 2, you will have to stop to open a large metal door blocking the path of your skiff. Continue through the caves on your left until you reach the edge of a cliff, then turn left. Walking forward you’ll see a red Gears logo on the cliff face, with the Enforcer relic hidden beneath it.

The Enforcer relic does more damage than a typical Enforcer, but also has a slower rate of fire. This makes the weapon easier to handle than the original and is excellent for taking out weaker enemies.

Long Shot Relic Location

Once you get the boat off the cliff, head north while staying on the frozen lake. Finally, you will find an abandoned red house hidden behind some trees. Head inside this building and you will find the Longshot relic on a blue table next to the white Gears logo.

This weapon is spectacular, as it gives you an extra bullet per reload if you do it perfectly, potentially doubling your ammo capacity.

Gears 5 Act 2 – Chapter 4: The Source of All Relic Locations

Here’s where to find all the Relic Weapon locations in Act 2, Chapter 4:

Retro Lancer Relic Location

Once you’ve passed the Old Cog Wall, continue traveling west until you reach a small ice lake. To the left of this lake there will be 3 large rocks, walk to the northernmost rock from the direction of the lake and you should see a red Gears symbol painted on it.

Walk up to the rock and walk to the right until you see a tree next to it, next to this tree you will find the Retro Lancer Relic.

This Relic comes with explosive rounds that damage enemies near where the ammo burns. Each shot takes several rounds, but the damage you take in return makes it excellent for taking out groups of enemies.

Boltok Relic Location

The Boltok relic can be found near the Conder crash site in the south. From the entrance to the crash site, head north up the slope and then turn immediately right towards a large pile of broken ice.

The red Gears logo should be visible on the face of a large block of ice, walk to the right of the symbol and you will find the weapon leaning against the ice.

The Boltok Relic is easier to fire from the hip and has much less recoil than the standard version. This weapon is great for quick, consecutive headshots, and the hip fire allows it to save you in a close-quarters encounter.

Boomshot Relic Location

Starting from the entrance to Northern Comm Tower, walk towards the substation on the right side of the road. Once you’re there, look to the right and you should see two large machines with the Gears logo painted on the side.

Walk between these machines and you’ll find the Boomshot leaning against the side on the right.

This version of the Boomshot is incredibly good, with three shots available per reload instead of one. This means you can use this powerful explosive weapon much more liberally than usual and take out groups of enemies much faster.

Dropshot Relic Location

From the northeast of the Old Derrick site, next to the giant frozen lake, head east towards a huge block of ice. Go around the perimeter of this ice block until you reach a gap on its southeast side, where you will find the Dropshot hidden in the snow.

Dropshot Relic works very similar to the original, except that it freezes enemies it hits. This allows you to temporarily stop dangerous enemies like Pouncers and Wardens, and makes difficult fights a little easier.

Torsion Arch Relic Location

This relic can be found on the path to the abandoned mine. From the entrance, walk uphill past some tree stumps towards a wooden structure where the red Gears logo can be seen.

Once you’re at the top of the hill, walk to the left and you should find the Torque Bow Relic leaning against a wooden support.

This variation of the Torque bow fires non-explosive beams instead of the typical explosive ones, but has a much higher ammo capacity, reload speed, and rate of fire.

Gears 5 Act 3 – Chapter 3: Some Relic Locations Requiring Assembly

Here’s where to find all the Relic Weapon locations in Act 3, Chapter 3:

Claw Relic Location

As soon as you exit the runway, head right and you should see hangars 1, 2, and 3. Ride the boat up to hangar 1 and then walk to its right side. Sitting on the ground will be the Talon Relic.

When you successfully perform an active reload with Talon Relic, its damage improves and the rate of fire decreases. This allows you to better manage the weapon’s recoil, so you can fire those boosted rounds more consistently.

Gnasher Relic Location

From the Water Tower, head directly north until you reach a fence. Once there, walk west along this fence and continue until you reach a rocky area in the shadow of a large cliff. Here, on the ground, you can find the Gnasher relic.

This version of the infamous shotgun fires a single shot instead of a bullet, but this single shot deals a ridiculous amount of damage. If your aim is good enough, this weapon is a headshot machine, capable of punching through almost anything with ease.

Claw Relic Location

On the path between the airport and Rocket Hanger, you will find several circular buildings emerging from the sand.

One of these buildings, the one closest to the old canal northeast of the south pumping station, has the Gears logo painted on the walls. Walk around the building until you find a small bush with the Claw Relic hidden inside.

When you perform an active reload with this weapon, the rate of fire increases much more than a standard Claw, making the already powerful LMG deal a lot of damage quickly.

Markza Relic Location

From the main door of the pumping station, look towards the green flag in the parking lot marking the entrance. Go through there towards the cliff face where there are several destroyed cars lined up and you will see the Gears logo painted on the rock. In the trunk of the car, directly to the right of the logo, is the Markza Relic.

The only difference between the Relic and the regular version of the Markza is the ability to fire fully automatically when you pull the trigger. Obviously, this allows you to do more damage faster and turns the weapon from a more precision weapon into a tool for quickly taking out an enemy or two.

Hammerburst Relic Location

Heading directly east from the city ruins, you’ll find a building with the Gears logo clearly visible from the edge of the sand-covered road. Go through the entrance doors and walk to the right. You’ll find a dead soldier next to a weapons box, with the Hammerburst relic inside.

The Hammerburst relic initially fires a smaller burst of bullets, but each consecutive shot increases the number of bullets used. Which means that while the gun starts out worse, it gets much better the more you shoot.

Snub Relic Location

To find Snub Relic, travel southeast of the Rocket Hanger along the outskirts of the facility. Once you’ve passed the large radio tower, keep looking at the walls until you find the red Gears logo painted on the walls. Once you find it, walk to the rocks just below and you will find the Snub Relic.

The changes to Snub Relic are fairly simple, as the gun fires a burst of two bullets each time you pull the trigger instead of the standard one.

Excessive Relic Location

Just south of the Bridge Control House there is a lone rock in the middle, near the train tracks. Next to this rock, surrounded by Deebee parts, the Overkill Relic can be found.

This version of the Overkill can fire automatically when the trigger is held, so you can tear through larger enemies like Scions and Wardens incredibly quickly at close range.

Lancer Relic Location

Directly east of the Train Bridge is the Cargo Shipwreck. Once you reach the entrance, walk to the back instead of going inside. There you will find a gap among the remains, where the Lancer relic will be waiting for you.

This Relic comes equipped with a unique melee attack, stunning enemies. Once stunned, they become vulnerable to easy execution with a knife or chainsaw. Note that this will only work against Drones, so don’t try to hit a Snatcher with it.

Embar Relic Location

After passing Windflare, you can find a Crashed Condor to the west of the train’s rotating platform. From the main wreckage, continue east to the tail of the plane. Here, on top of a blue box, you can find the Embar Relic.

The charge time required to fire the Embar Relic is much longer than usual, but the damage it deals makes up for the slower fire rate. Make sure to use this on larger enemies instead of drones when you can to get the most out of it.

Lancer GL Relic Location

On the way to the cosmonaut training center south of the water tower, exit the main road to the west onto another road under a cliff. Walk up to the center support with a cactus to your left, and the Lancer GL relic can be found near this cactus.

This Relic weapon’s alternate fire fires a single explosive round in a straight line instead of an explosive volley falling from the sky, which detonates when it hits a surface or detects a nearby enemy.

This means you can finally use the Lancer GL indoors without accidentally exploding, making it generally more useful than its counterpart.
