The hang glider was added to Sons of the Forest during its first major patch on March 9, 2023, along with the binoculars.
The Hang Glider makes traveling long distances much faster than walking in Sons of the Forest, as long as you jump from a high enough height.

Sons of the Forest Hang Gliding Locations
We have found 12 Hang Gliding locations in Sons of the Forest:
Hang glider 1 location
This hang glider is located west of the beach containing the binoculars, which is north of the shotgun location.
It’s right on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the ocean.
Hang glider 2 location
This hang glider is also located in the northwest section of the island, but west of Shotgun’s location, on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
Hang glider 3 location
This glider is on top of a cliff in the northern section of the map, just north of the Snowy Mountains, but it is not on the edge of the cliff. Instead, look for a campsite with a black tent within the tree line.
Hang glider 4 location
The fourth Hang Glider location is in the northeast area of the map, on the edge of a cliff where the road on your GPS locator map turns south.
Hang glider 5 location

You’ll find this hang glider just south of the fourth glider location, but it’s not on the edge of the cliff. Instead, look for a campsite with black tents among the trees.
Hang glider 6 location
Head south from the fifth glider location and climb the snowy mountain to find this hang glider on the edge of the cliff near some abandoned white tents.
Delta Wing 7 Location
This hang glider is located in the eastern section of the island, just south of the large river that runs from the snowy mountains. It is on the edge of a cliff that points east.
Hang glider 8 location
The eighth hang glider we found is right in the center of the island, deep in the snowy mountain. It’s next to a camp near the river, near a cave marked on your map.
Hang glider 9 location
This hang glider is near the location of the blade, near the end of a river that flows from the lake with five rivers. You will have to climb to the top of this place to find the glider near a camp with two tents.
Hang glider 10 location
This hang glider is not actually on the edge of a cliff like many others, but instead you should look on the edge of the tree line, near a campsite and the cave on the south side of the snowy mountain.
Hang glider 11 location
This hang glider is on a cliff in the southwestern area of the map, south of the southernmost river on the map, just below a cannibal camp.
Hang glider 12 location
The last hang glider we found is in the western part of the island, just above a lake that has a river that flows into the large lake from which five rivers emerge.
There are more places where you can find a hang glider, but we haven’t found them yet. If you’re ever near the edge of a cliff or mountain, look for a black triangle-shaped object if you want to slide your way out of it.
Gliders cannot be stored in your inventory and do not appear on your GPS tracker map when you drop them off, so be careful where you leave them! Setting up camp near one or using an additional GPS locator to mark it can help you keep track.

How to use the hang glider in Sons of the Forest
The hang glider is a tool that you must pick up every time you want to use it, which means it cannot be stored in your inventory.
Once you’ve grabbed the hang glider, you’ll need to hold down the jump button and stay in the air for a few seconds. The glider will deploy automatically and will only stop flying when you hit the ground or a tree if you are unlucky.
While flying in the glider, press forward to aim down and gain some speed, or press back to aim up but lose some speed. Pressing right and left will turn it in that direction.
You can freely look around as usual while gliding without altering your course.
The little green circle in the middle of the hang glider indicates your direction, and keeping the ball in the middle of the circle means you’re going straight and will stay in the air longer this way.
Once you’ve landed and the hang glider is unequipped, there’s no way to track where it is, so we recommend setting up camp or attaching an additional GPS locator if you want to put a symbol on your map to remind you where you placed it. he.
You can always take him back to your main base too, but he’s a bit difficult to walk with and gets stuck in the trees quite easily.
