How to enter the Hidden Royal Passage in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

There are two main ways to enter the Royal Hidden Passage in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The first is to beat one of the four temples, we recommend the Wind Temple first and then head to Lookout Landing. Right in the center of the area, you’ll see a hole with a ladder leading down to the basement. Here, you can use the nearby bed to sleep, the pots to cook, and grab any weapons on the shelves.

Head to the other side, behind the ladder. There will be a lady there with a broom. If you have completed a temple, she will tell you that she knocked down part of the wall while she was sweeping. This is the path to the Royal Hidden Passage.

Alternatively, you can enter the Royal Hidden Passage from the other end. To do this, head north from Lookout Landing, towards Hyrule Castle. Head to the main doors and look up. You will be able to see a ledge with what look like carved stone windows above it. You can see this area in the image below.

Go up and enter the balcony, this is the Observation Room. Go down to the floor below to find a metal trapdoor that can be opened with Ultrahand. This will take you to the Royal Hidden Passage.

Cursed Statue from the Royal Hidden Passage from Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The first thing you will come across if you entered the Royal Hidden Passage through the Lookout Landing entrance is the Cursed Statue. To get to it, you just have to proceed from the entrance, blowing up the rock walls as you go. Bomba flowers are the best way to do this, and luckily there are plenty of them out there. If you are running low on money, consider leaving and completing the Fire Temple, where you will receive the Yunobo Vow ability. This makes this area much easier as you can use this ability to break rocks without using any items.

Finally, you will find a stone statue on your right. This is the Cursed Statue, which essentially allows you to redistribute your health and stamina buffs. However, there is a fee for this, as you will have to spend 100 rupees per stamina or health container (initially, the fee increases each time you use the statue).

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Royal Hidden Passage Bubbulfrog Location

For the rest of the items that we will be looking for in this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide, it is recommended to enter the Hidden Royal Passage from the Observation Room. Go down the trapdoor, as before, and you will find yourself on a spiral staircase.

Get to the bottom and then pass the rock walls ahead. You will fall into a cave with a Shock type enemy inside. Kill him and then slide to the ground. Look for a rock wall on the north side and move forward. You will eventually reach the area where the Bubbulfrog is located.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Royal Hidden Passage Soldier Armor

To find the soldier’s armor inside the Hidden Royal Passage in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to continue south from where you found the Bubulfrog. Look for an entrance hidden by rocks, as shown in the image below. Destroy the rocks and then go inside to fight some skeleton enemies.

With the defeated, look around the room. You will see a door that you cannot pass through. There is a small alcove in front of it, with a rock that can be moved with Ultrahand. Do this and then jump through the hole.

Head to the end of this tunnel and then use Ascend. You will find yourself on the other side of the door from before. Open the chest and you will receive the soldier’s armor, which has a base defense stat of 4.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Royal Passage Stalnox

From where you found the soldier’s armor, head south. There are more enemies and rock walls to overcome, until you finally reach a large cavern filled with water. Swim inside and look to your right. You will see a huge pile of rocks. Destroying these rocks will start the fight against Stalnox.

To defeat the Stalnox, aim for its eye, which pops out when you hit it with an arrow. Keep your distance and keep damaging the eye until you have defeated the Stalnox. It will drop the Stalnox Horn, which can be fused to a weapon to add 29 damage. This is one of the most powerful Fuse items in the game.
