Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield – Overview Trailer

Zacain, the legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Sword, explained

Zacain is the legendary Pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Sword.

In its weakened state, Zacain is a Fairy-type Pokémon, but when it holds the Rusty Sword, which you find in the Slumbering Weald, it will turn into a Fairy and Steel-type Pokémon.

This rusty sword becomes the elegant blade he holds in his mouth.

Categorized as a Warrior Pokémon, Zacain has the Intrepid Sword ability, which gives a boost to its attack at the start of a battle.

Zacain is a Pokémon that is dedicated to attacking its enemies; using moves that have enough strength to quickly and easily knock out his opponents. This makes it ideal for trainers who prefer to focus on powerful moves or interesting dual-type Pokémon.

One of Zacain’s Pokédex entries supports his image as a fierce warrior, who prefers the offensive, describing it as:

“Known as a legendary hero, this Pokémon absorbs metal particles and transforms them into a weapon that it uses to fight.”

While Zacain comes to your aid in the battle with Eternatus, you won’t be able to catch him until the end of the game in Pokémon Sword.

This legendary Pokémon with the life of a wolf is shrouded in mystery, as it is described like this: “Zacyan’s attacks are so elegant that his movements captivate his opponents.” With what appears to be a sword in his mouth, Zacain’s shiny blade can cut through anything.

Zamazenta, the legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Shield, explained

Zamazenta is the legendary Pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Shield.

At first, Zamazenta will appear to be a Fighting-type Pokémon, which grants it the Rusted Shield, which you will find in Slumbering Weald, however, it will transform into a Fighting and Steel-type Pokémon.

Unlike Zacian, who focuses on attack, Zamazenta is a being that prefers defensive tactics; the Rusted Shield merging with his body.

Zamazenta knows the Dauntless Shield ability, which increases his defense stat at the start of a battle.

While Zamazenta focuses more on defensive tactics, the combination of fighting and steel-type allows him to be a formidable fighter in his own fight.

Properly trained, you can use Zamazenta to quickly defeat your opponents, using its defensive strength to ensure you take as little damage as possible.

In Pokémon Shield, Zamazenta will fight at your side during the battle with Eternatus and you can catch him in the post-game episode.

Knowledge of Zamazenta has been lost to time in the Galar region.

Although knowledge of Zamazenta has been lost to time in the Galar region, this legendary wolf is described like this: “With majestic movements and what appears to be a shield covering his body, Zamazenta can repel any attack and overwhelm any opponent. who dares.” face it.’

Eternatus, the legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield, explained

Eternatus is the legendary Pokémon that you will find yourself fighting at the end of Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Categorized as a Giant Pokémon, Eternatus is a dragon and poison type Pokémon.

Its origins are described as: “It was inside a meteorite that fell 20,000 years ago.” There seems to be a connection between this Pokémon and the Dynamax phenomenon.’

This connection to the Dynamax phenomenon is certainly true, as you will find yourself fighting him in his Dynamax form.

To defeat and capture Eternatus, you must enlist the help of Zacain and Zamazenta, fighting alongside the legendary that is exclusive to your edition.

After a long battle, you will be able to add Eternatus to your Pokédex.

What other legendaries are there in Pokémon Sword and Shield?

With the announcement of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass also came news of three new Gen 8 Legendary Pokémon.

In The Isle of Armor, you will receive Kubfu, the legendary fighting-type Pokémon. With careful training, you can turn him into Urshifu. However, what makes this evolution unique is that Kubfu can evolve into different Urshifu styles: single hit style and quick hit style.

Urshifu styles are differentiated by both their type and the stats they focus on. Single Attack Style Urshifu is a dark and fighting type Pokémon, best suited for trainers who prefer offensive strategies. Meanwhile, Quick Strike-style Urshifu is a defense-focused Pokémon, which is a dual-fighting, water-type Pokémon.

Kubfu, Urshifu and Calyrex: the legendaries coming to the Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion pass.

During your adventure in The Crown Tundra, you may encounter Calyrex.

Hundreds of years ago, this Pokémon ruled Galar as its king. Not much is known about this legendary Pokémon at the moment, but one thing we do know is that it has the ability to see all past, present, and future events.

Crown Tundra surprised everyone by including two never-before-seen legendary Pokémon: Glastrier and Spectrier.

These two legendary Pokémon are Calyrex’s legendary mounts and you will be able to help him recover just one during your adventures in the Crown Tundra.

Spectrier is a ghost-type Pokémon, while Glastrier is an ice-type Pokémon and both have two forms: one with Calyrex mounted and one without.

The Crown Tundra DLC also includes the introduction of two new legendary Pokémon to the Regi family: Regieleki and Regidrago.

Regieleki is an Electric-type Pokémon that was forced to wear insulating gear by the ancient inhabitants of Galar. It is believed that this team was forced to restrain and torment Regieleki.

Regidrago is, as its name suggests, a dragon-type Pokémon, which is made up of crystals that Regigigas filled with dragon energy. Unfortunately, Regigigas ran out of crystals while he was making Regidrago, which meant he could only make the head. This has led to the belief that if his body is completed, Regidrago will bring destruction to the Galar region.

The Crown Tundra also sees the introduction of the Galarian versions of the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.

Includes the new cooperative mode, Dynamax Adventures, which will allow you to capture a variety of legendary Pokémon from across the Pokémon generation, from Mewtwo to Lunala.
