The Pigeon Provides is a new seasonal quest in Destiny 2.

As part of The Dawning 2021 event, and joining the likes of Rite of Dawning, the quest involves you collecting ingredients and cooking specific recipes. In the end, you will be able to unlock the new Stasis sword.

Whether or not the weapon will dominate Crucible in Destiny 2 remains to be seen, but for now, this page details how to start The Pigeon Provides, as well as how to complete the quest to unlock Zephyr.

How to complete The Pigeon Supplies in Destiny 2 soon

Here’s a quick summary of the steps needed to complete The Pigeon Provides quest:

Complete The Lost Splicer mission in Europa (if you haven’t already)
Talk to Saint-14 in Tower Hanger
Locate the Swaddled Etherdips ingredients: Pure Ether Extract (x3), Harpy Eggs (x10), and Glacial Starwort (x5).
Collect Dawn Spirit (x15)
Collect Aetheric Spiral (x5) and purchase Kellsdough from Spider in Tangled Shore using Dawning Spirit
Collect Wolfpack rounds by defeating the powerful Fallen in the Cosmodrome (7 total)
Return to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar
Deliver treats to the Eliksni of the House of Light.

How to Start The Pigeon Provides in Destiny 2

Fortunately, the process to start The Pigeon Provides is quite simple. First, you must log into the game for The Dawning 2021 event. You have until January 4 to complete this and other seasonal activities.

Once there, go to the Tower, specifically the Patio, to find Eva Levante. He talks to her and follows her directions in the introductory mission.

This will only take you a couple of minutes. At some point, she’ll offer you The Pigeon Provides, as well as the Rite of Dawn quests, and you’ll be all set. Now, let’s see what each step entails.

How to complete The Pigeon Provides and unlock Zephyr

The Pigeon Provides in Destiny 2 has a total of 10 steps, but some of them are just quick visits to certain NPCs.

As such, we’ll start with a brief chat with Saint-14, who can be found in the Tower Hangar.

Saint-14 asks us to head to Europe and locate the Eliksni recipe in Eventide Ruins. To do this, go to the destinations tab, select the nearest travel point and head to the marked location using your sparrow.

As long as you have the quest selected, the recipe’s location is automatically marked on your map, so don’t worry about missing it.

Now, this is where the mission starts to get complicated. The next step is to gather different amounts of three key ingredients. You can find their locations below:

Pure Aether Extract (x3): Obtained by looting the chest at the end of a Lost Sector in Europa; we recommend running The Perdition Lost Sector, which is located northeast of Cadmus Ridge.

Harpy Eggs (x10): Obtained by defeating the Harpies in Europe; Fortunately, The Perdition Lost Sector has plenty of them. It only took one run to collect all 10 Harpy Eggs, making it by far the easiest step.

Glacial Starwort (x5): Lastly, you can find it by opening chests around Europa. We recommend that you equip a Tracker Mod on your Ghost Shell, which will allow you to identify the locations of nearby chests once you approach them. Simply wander around the area until you find five of them.

There are still a few steps to go, so stay with us. The next one, which asks you to collect 15 Dawning Spirit, is by far the most time-consuming of all.

You can obtain Dawning Spirit in the following ways:

Complete Eva Levante rewards (2 Dawning Spirit for daily rewards, 10 Dawning Spirit for weekly rewards)
Complete Dawn Triumphs (amounts indicated on the triumphs)
Delivering Gifts of Dawn (3 Spirits of Dawn each)
You can increase the amount of Dawning Spirit obtained by using the Blessing of Friendship consumable (one per day, awarded by speaking to Eva Levante)
You can also increase the amount of Dawning Spirit obtained by equipping the fully upgraded Starfarer 7M ship, if you have it, of course.

In our experience, it was best to focus solely on Eva Levante’s available weekly reward to start with 10 Dawning Spirit. Then, it’s just a matter of playing a couple of activities from the playlist to get The Dawning 2021 ingredients and craft gifts.

Once you have at least two of them, head to the corresponding NPC and give it to them to get the 15 Dawning Spirit needed. The reason we recommend activities in the playlist is because you will need the Essence of Dawn.

Almost done! Now we will need to gather 5 etheric spirals. You can find this in Tangled Shore: it is a type of plant that has a red color. You can stumble upon it in the wild, but the safest way to get it is to open the chest, the same method as before for this.

This same step also involves purchasing Kellsdough from Spider, also in Tangled Shore. We will use the Dawning Spirit we have collected for this.

In case you haven’t visited Spider yet, or just need a refresher, the NPC is located in Thieves’ Landing, a little northwest of the fast travel point.

It’s time to run the last errands. Once you have everything in your possession, head back to the Tower Hangar to talk to Saint-14. You will get the Polycarbon Powder Shader as the first reward.

Ready for one more task? Open the Destinations tab and go to the HELM; there, click on the Last City: Eliksni Quarter fast travel point in the lower left corner.

There’s no need to cook here – all you have to do is approach a total of 10 NPCs and press the button to give them a gift.
