The Halloween 2022 event has wrapped Pokémon Go in a spooky glow!

This year, Pokémon Go has split its Halloween event into two halves: Halloween Part 1 and Halloween Part 2. There are a variety of bonuses and features to enjoy in both halves of the event, including event-exclusive field research tasks, new costumes of Pokémon and the Launch of Mega Banette.

There are also three Halloween-themed research missions to participate in, the first being the special research mission, Mysterious Masks. Meanwhile, Yamask Timed Research and Halloween Timed Research require you to spend some real-world money to unlock them.

Field Research Tasks for the Halloween Event in Pokémon Go

You can collect a variety of event-exclusive Field Research tasks by spinning PokéStops during the Halloween event in Pokémon Go. Like the regular Field Research tasks, these challenges can be saved and completed at a later date, but the Halloween-exclusive tasks will no longer be available once the event ends.

The exclusive Halloween Part 2 Field Research tasks are now available and will be available until the event ends on Tuesday, November 1 at 10 am (local time).

These are the Halloween field research tasks in Pokémon Go:

  • Reward for capturing 5 ghost-type Pokémon: encounter with Shuppet or Duskull
  • Reward for capturing 10 Ghost-type Pokémon: Yamask encounter
  • Reward for capturing 25 Ghost-type Pokémon: Galar Yamask encounter
  • Reward for walking 2 km: Halloween Pikachu Pikachu, Spooky Festival Vulpix or Halloween Prank Piplup
  • 5K Walk Reward: Phantump Encounter
  • Spin 5 rewards from PokéStops or Gyms: 20 Gengar Mega Energy
  • Spin 10 rewards from PokéStops or Gyms: 20 Absol Mega Energy

Everything you need to know about Halloween in Pokémon Go

Part 2 of Pokémon Go’s Halloween event has begun, meaning the Pokémon that appear most frequently in the wild, including the release of new costumed Pokémon, and those that appear in raids have changed. There are new shiny Pokémon too!

However, before we get to these changes, let’s take a look at the features that will be running during the 2022 Halloween event.

The first, of course, is the traditional Halloween candy bonuses, with which you will earn double the amount of candy per capture, transfer and hatching throughout the event. Trainers level 31 or higher are also guaranteed a Candy XL for walking with their Pokémon friends.

Each player will also be able to claim the Mysterious Masks special research quest by playing Pokémon Go during the Halloween event. This quest has no deadline, so feel free to complete it at your own pace.

You can also purchase two Timed Research Missions from the in-game store, but if you do, be sure to complete them before Tuesday, November 1 at 10 am (local time) or the missions will expire.

Missions cannot be purchased using PokéCoins, and if you are close friends or superiors with another player, you can gift them tickets for these missions. You’ll still have to pay for them!

The Yamask Timed Research mission costs £0.79, $1 or the equivalent price level in your local currency. In this mission you will encounter several Yamask.

Halloween Timed Research, the second mission, costs £4.49, $5 or the equivalent price level in your local currency. This quest has a selection of Halloween-themed tasks, increased candy bonuses, and will allow you to unlock a spooky Pumpkaboo lantern avatar pose.

Mega Banette.

The Halloween event also sees the release of Mega Banette in Pokémon Go, so if you want to add this evolution to your Mega Dex, be sure to take the time to fight it in Mega Raids.

Meanwhile, Giratina has returned to five-star raids for the Halloween event, with Altered Form available during Part 1 and Origin Form appearing in Part 2. Any Giratina you catch during this event will know the Charged Type attack. ghost, Shadow. Force.

For the first time in Pokémon Go, you can encounter a Shiny Pumpkaboo and, if you wish, evolve it into a Shiny Gourgeist.

While the lineup for one-star raids remains the same as Part 1, Halloween Mischief Drifblim and Spooky Festival Gengar will appear in three-star raids during Halloween Part 2.

Finally, Giratina (Origin Forme) will be in five-star raids during Halloween Part 2 and Mega Banette will still be waiting for you in Mega Raids.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Psychic Spectular event is back! You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League.
