Getting new products is one of the first in-game requests in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Request numbered 23, you need to find Hearty Grains locations and deliver them to Tao Hua in Jubilife Village.
Doing so will reward you with more items available for purchase at the general store on the town’s main street.

How to Start Request 23 ‘Get New Goods’ in Pokémon Legends Arceus
As with the other General Store Expansion Requests in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you must make a certain amount of progress before you can unlock them.
Once you finish main story mission 8, The Situation of Arezu, and have unlocked the Crimson Mirelands location, return to Jubilife Village.
Now talk to Choy at the general store, which is on the main street in front of Galaxy Hall, just turn left before the bridge and it will be the first building. We highlight the store location on the map and provide some images below.
Choy will ask you to get three stalks of Hearty Grains and bring them to Tao Hua, and you should now have Request 23 unlocked.
Where to find abundant cereals in Pokémon Legends Arceus
Before searching for the Hearty Grains, it’s worth checking the black item storage box to see if you already have three. If you do, move forward to find Tao Hua.
If you don’t have plenty of beans, the easiest way to get them requires 600 Poké Dollars.
Go to Anvin at Craftworks and buy three for 600 Poké Dollars after selecting “crafting materials.” We highlight the location of the crafts on the map below and provide some images.
Hearty Grains can also be collected in Crimson Mirelands, through a couple of different methods, which we will describe below.
Fast travel to the Mirelands Camp location, head straight towards where the Golden Lowlands are marked on the map screen and you should see some hearty grains coming out of the ground. In our experience, they can be found on the edges of small bodies of water.
You should get three Hearty Grains fairly easily, but if not (or if you want more), you can head towards the Gapejaw Bog on the map and throw a Pokémon into the haystacks, as these sometimes drop Hearty Grains, among other useful items. However, haystacks don’t always drop abundant grain, so keep that in mind.

You are also tasked with filling Hisui’s Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions such as Kleavor by evolving into Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving into Stantler, Sneasler by evolving into Hisui Sneasel, and Overquil by evolving into Hisui Qwilfish. There are a ton of new evolution methods, including some for Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, like The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and find Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track all Unown locations as well.
Complete Request 23 and get new product rewards
Now head back to Jubilife Village. If you have Request turned on, you should be able to follow the markers on the screen to find Tao Hua, but here’s a quick guide either way.
Once in Galaxy Hall, turn right and pass the stairs going up one floor, go down the stairs placed below and go through the first door on your right.
Once you’ve spoken to Tao Hua, return to Choy in the general store!
Upon completing the mission, you will be able to purchase six new items in the general store, which we list below:
- heavy ball
- feather ball
- super potion
- Smoke bomb
- Mushroom Cake
- Honey Pie
