Solstice Horizons is an event celebrating the summer solstice in Pokémon Go!
As part of this event, you will be able to complete two collection challenges in Pokémon Go: the Solstice Horizons Daytime Collection Challenge and the Solstice Horizons Nighttime Collection Challenge.
The event also includes event-exclusive Field Research tasks and a Team Rocket takeover, so make sure your Pokémon are ready to take on more Shadow Pokémon!
The special research mission Starry Skies will also be released as part of this event, giving you a chance to capture another Cosmog!

List of Pokémon from the Solstice Horizons Daytime Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go
The Solstice Horizons Daytime Collection Challenge is available until Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm (local time) in Pokémon Go. Because of this, you must complete the Collection Challenge before this date if you want to earn its rewards and add them to the Elite Collectors Medal. You can also complete the night collection challenge along with this.
Here are the Pokémon in the Solstice Horizons Daytime Collection Challenge and how to find them:
- Solrock – In the wild during the day
- Ledyba – In the wild during the day and in seasonal Field Research tasks (Use 5 Razz Berries to help catch Pokemon)
- Petilil – In the wild during the day

- Cottonee: In the wild during the day and seasonal field research task (take a snapshot of a wild Pokémon)

Solstice Horizons Night Collection Challenge Pokémon List in Pokémon Go
The Solstice Horizons Night Collection Challenge is available until Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm (local time) in Pokémon Go. This means that you must complete the Collection Challenge before this date if you want to earn its rewards and add them to your Elite Collector’s Medal. There is also a daytime gathering challenge that you can complete along with this.

Solstice Horizons Field Research Tasks in Pokémon Go
During the Solstice Horizons event, you can collect event-exclusive Field Research Tasks by spinning PokéStops in Pokémon Go. These tasks can be saved and completed after the event ends if you wish.
These are the Solstice Horizons field research tasks in Pokémon Go:
- Reward for capturing 10 Pokémon: Fomantis encounter
- Reward for capturing 5 Grass or Bug-type Pokémon: 500 Stardust
- Reward for catching 5 ghost or dark type Pokémon: 500 Stardust

Team Rocket acquisition during Solstice Horizons in Pokémon Go explained
A Team Rocket takeover will occur during the Solstice Horizons event in Pokémon Go, which runs from Wednesday, June 21 at 12 a.m. (local time) to Sunday, June 25 at 11:59 p.m. (local time).
Two bonuses will run throughout this mini-event, with Team Go Rocket appearing more frequently at PokéStops and on balloons. You can also use a Charged TM to create a Shadow Pokémon to forget the Charged attack, Frustration.
From the start of this acquisition, you will be able to start A Shadowy Disturbance, a new Team Rocket themed Special Research Mission, which will be available until Friday, September 1 at 10am (local time). This will allow you to fight Giovanni once again and, this time, catch a Shadow Regirock.
The 12km egg pool has also undergone a shakeup as part of this event, which could make it easier to hatch the elusive female Salandit, as this new Pokemon is now at Level 2. Hopefully…
In addition to this, Team Rocket Grunts and Team Rocket Leaders will have new equipment, and as part of this, the following Pokémon now have Shadow variants:

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! He has brought the Timed Investigation: Master Ball quest, which offers you the chance to win another Master Ball. There’s also a new season of Go Battle League to participate in. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete Routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Everything you need to know about the Solstice Horizons event in Pokémon Go
The Solstice Horizons event marks the launch of the special research mission Starry Skies in Pokémon Go. This quest will allow you to capture an additional Cosmog, which will eventually become Solgaleo or Lunala. You will automatically unlock the quest as long as you are above level 5 and play Pokémon Go at least once before Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm (local time). After doing so, you will be able to complete the questline at your own pace.
You can also purchase an additional ticket for the mission, which will allow you to play it a second time, for £4.99, $5 or the equivalent in your local currency until Sunday 25 June at 8pm (local time). It’s important to note that if you want to purchase the quest, you should also play Pokémon Go at least before the event ends to ensure it has been unlocked correctly.

There are also two bonuses that run throughout the Starry Skies event. The first is a double Stardust bonus catch, and the second sees Solrock and Lunatone appear in the wild no matter what region you live in.
This event also sees the release of four new shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go. The first two are Fomantis and Lurantis which will be released at the start of the event. The second, Pancham and Pangoro, will launch at the start of Team Rocket Takeover on Wednesday, June 21 at 12am (local time).
The shiny forms of the Fomantis and Pancham evolution trees will be released during the Solstice Horizons event.
A selection of Pokémon will also appear more frequently in the wild during the Solstice Horizons event, but they work slightly differently compared to other events. This is because the Pokémon you can find will be different depending on whether it is day or night.
