How to complete Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Ready Player Fun in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the third quest you get when you welcome Vanellope to your valley. The top racer, to put it bluntly, is bored and misses the thrill of racing, so it’s up to you to show him all the fun there is to do in the Valley.

As with many Disney Dreamlight Valley character quests, this one really takes you on a tangent and even makes you find your competitive side at some points.

Without further ado, we are here to show you how to complete the Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Start the Ready Player Fun Mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To begin the Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must have unlocked Vanellope and progressed your friendship level with her to level four. You must also have unlocked Nala and Mirabel, as well as completed the Nature and Nurture quest for Scar.

Once you’ve met the above requirements, go and talk to Vanellope. You will discover that she is having some problems adjusting to life in the Valley and that the biggest problem is that she is bored.

Follow the conversation and select the “Yeah Let’s Hang Out” option when the Ready Player Fun quest appears to start.

How to complete the Ready Player Fun mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The first step to completing the Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to demonstrate to Vanellope some of the pastimes offered in your Valley.

Show Vanellope Valley Hobbies

To complete this first section of this quest, you must show Vanellope all the fun things you can do in the valley by doing the following:

  • Extract any gem (x3)
  • Catch any fish (x5)
  • Plant any crop (x30) – We recommend sprouts or wheat, they are cheap and grow fast. Both can be purchased from Goofy in Peaceful Meadow.
  • Harvest any crop or fruit (x30) – You can wait for the planted crops to grow or you can search for apples, blueberries, raspberries, etc.

Once you’ve done the above, return to Vanellope and talk to her to find out that she’s not very impressed with these hobbies. Now she wants to play with you a game that she says she invented: hide and seek!

Find Vanellope’s Hideout

To start hide and seek with Vanellope, you need to go to Scrooge McDuck’s store. As soon as you enter the store, you can leave again to start looking for the mischievous runner.

Now, earlier Vanellope gave you a clue as to where she’s hiding. She hides in “one of the darkest and most dangerous places” in the Ella Valley. Now you have a few options, you can search for Vanellope or you can go and talk to these villagers to get clues about her location:

Alternatively, you can go directly to where it is hiding. Vanellope’s hideout in Ready Player Fun in Disney Dreamlight Valley is in Vitalys Mine on the Sunlit Plateau.

When you get to Vitalys Mine, head to your left and start following the Candy Trail into the mine to find Vanellope. Once you reach the area where the tracks intersect as in the image below, cross to the other side of the tracks and stop.

Here, turn left and you should see a path leading to a deeper part of the mine, but it is covered in rocks and Night Thorns. Clean them up and follow the path until you find Vanellope.

Talk to her again and then she will want to get you out of the mine at full speed. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose the race (we win).

When you’re out of the mine, talk to Vanellope one more time to find out that there is one last game left to play: EXTREME FISHING!

play extreme fishing

Once you finish talking to Vanellope and agree to play Extreme Fishing, you will have three minutes to catch three fish. The quest says that you should catch as many as you can, but you only need three to complete this task.

We recommend fishing on the Sunlit Plateau so you don’t waste time running to another Biome. We didn’t see an actual timer counting down the three minutes and we beat the challenge pretty quickly, so we’re not sure if there’s a time limit or if the mission just continues until you get enough fish.

Once you’ve caught the fish, go and talk to Vanellope once more to finish this quest.

Congratulations on completing the Ready Player Fun mission! We hope you enjoy getting into more mischief with Vanellope.
