Pokémon Go Season of Go hemisphere Pokémon, seasonal spawns and end date explained

Season of Go is the seventh season of the game Pokémon Go and will feature the Ultra Beasts.

With the release of the extradimensional Ultra Beasts, this season continues the previous Alola season’s trend of releasing Pokémon Gen 7. It also includes Go Fest 2022 and a crossover event with the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Like every season, Season of Go also sees changes to egg tables, seasonal spawns, and which Pokémon appear in which hemisphere in Pokémon Go.

Pokémon Go Season of Go End Date: When will Season of Go End?

The Go Season has a start time of Wednesday, June 1 at 10 am (local time) and an end date of Thursday, September 1 at 10 am (local time).

Go Battle League Season 11, including its traditional three special leagues and cups, will take place during this period.

What do we know about the Season of Go in Pokémon Go?

Seasons are themed periods of the game that bring new updates and events to Pokémon Go, and Season of Go is the seventh to occur.

This season of Pokémon Go is themed around Pokémon Go itself; unless I completely misunderstood the title and it’s actually about the concept of movement. Either way, this season will see the introduction of Ultra Beasts in Pokémon Go.

Ultra Beasts are a group of incredibly powerful extradimensional Pokémon that come from Ultra Space, an interdimensional spatial realm. The arrival of the Ultra Beasts was previewed in a short video posted on the official Pokémon Go Twitter on Tuesday, May 24.

This video includes a shot of Nihilego, suggesting it will be the first Ultra Beast to appear in Pokémon Go, and a character, who we later learned was called Rhi, wearing clothing that can allow them to traverse Ultra Space.

Both Nihilego and Rhi were introduced to the game on the second day, Sunday, June 5, of Go Fest 2022 through the special research missions Rhi’s Coming and A Radiant World. Nihilego also appeared in five-star raids that day.

With these two missions, the stage was set for this season’s story: Rhi came to our world from Ultra Space, the Ultra Beasts are arriving through similar wormholes, and Professor Willow has disappeared…

In addition to the release of Ultra Beast, Season of Go lowers the level requirement to obtain Candy XL: all Trainers level 31 and above can now collect and use Candy XL starting Wednesday, June 1 at 10 a.m. (CET). local).

There are also eight bonuses that will run throughout the Season of Go:

  • Decoy module duration extended to one hour.
  • Greater effectiveness of incense while moving.
  • Guaranteed gifts for PokéStop spins.
  • Increased damage for Pokémon that participate in Raids remotely.
  • Increased bonus friendship damage for raids.
  • One additional Special Trade per day.
  • An extra Pokémon Candy when trading Pokémon.
  • Guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon.

As always, a variety of events will take place throughout the Season of Go, with the following confirmed upon the launch of the Season:

  • Go Fest 2022 – Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5
  • Adventure Week: from Tuesday, June 7 to Sunday, June 12
  • Pokémon TCG (Collectible Card Game) Crossover Event: Thursday, June 16 to Thursday, June 30
  • Unannounced Community Day: Saturday, June 25
  • Unannounced Community Day: Sunday, July 17

What are seasons in Pokémon Go?

First introduced in December 2020, Seasons are periods of the game (three months long) that tie various events into a theme and add a number of new features and quality of life changes.

This includes:

  • Changes to the way Pokémon appear from season to season, which may cause some creatures to appear more regularly or become rarer in the wild for limited periods of time.
  • Changes to egg pools and raids.
  • Spawning specific to the northern and southern hemispheres, coinciding with real-world seasons.
  • Highlights specific Mega Evolutions, giving them a power boost throughout the season.
  • Changes to Deerling forms.
  • A new season of Go Battle League, which will have the same duration as those seasons.
  • XP boosts by completing specific activities, like five-star raids, for example.
  • Introduce other general improvements in the quality of life.
  • A variety of events in the game.
  • New Pokémon.
