Reshiram is a legendary Pokémon from the fifth generation and first debuted in Pokémon Black and White.
Along with Zekrom and Kyurem, Reshiram is a member of the Tao trio, which refers to the three legendary dragons that make their home in the Unova region.
The other members of the Tao tri are Zekrom and Kyurem.
As the trio’s name suggests, these three Pokémon are heavily inspired by Taoism’s concept of yin and yang. Reshiram is the representation of yang in this trio, which is why it is white and has fire as one of its types. Both characteristics are two of the main characteristics of yang.
