From A to Zygarde is the Special Research Mission released in Pokémon Go during the Blaze New Trails event in July 2023, which also introduced Trails.
As of this writing, the From A to Zygarde quest is the only way to earn a Zygarde in Pokemon Go. Hopefully, we’ll see this Gen 6 Pokemon become available through other means in the future, but for now, it’s best to continue with the Special Research and get Zygarde while you still can.

The Special Research story From A to Zygarde launched in Pokémon Go during the Blaze New Trails event on Friday, July 21, 2023. If you want to participate and win an encounter with the legendary Zygarde, make sure to log into the game before the event. . ends on Monday, July 24 at 8:00 p.m. (local time).
As with all special research tasks, you can complete From A to Zygarde at your own pace once you unlock it.

- Walk 1 km – 5 pineapple berries
- Catch 10 Pokémon – 5 potions
- Use 5 berries to help catch Pokémon: 5 Poké Balls
Rewards: 500 stardust

- Make 5 big throws: 10 raspberries
- Power up Pokémon 5 times: 10 Nanab Berries
- Hatch an Egg – 10 Poké Balls

- Earn 3 candies by walking with your friend – 1500 Stardust

The Season of Adventure Abundance is almost here! Before it arrives, try to complete the Fascinating Facets and Sky High special research missions. You can also complete a route and fight in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

That aside, From A to Zygarde works exactly the same as other special research missions in Pokémon Go; You are challenged to complete a series of tasks in exchange for rewards, and after doing so, you unlock the general rewards of the quest step along with the next step. You then repeat this process until the mission is complete.
