How to get to Fontaine in Genshin Impact

Fontaine was introduced during the big Genshin Impact version 4.0 update and is the fifth major region that the Traveler and Paimon must travel to.

However, you can still travel to Fontaine even if you’re not keeping up with your Archon Quests if you want to experience the watery Nation of Justice before continuing the quest for the Traveler’s brother.

To get there as soon as possible, here’s how to get to Fontaine in Genshin Impact, including how to unlock Fontaine if you haven’t completed Sumeru’s story yet.

How to get to Fontaine in Genshin Impact

While the easiest method is to follow the Archon Quest Chapter IV story, anyone can reach Fontaine using the northeast Teleport Waypoint in the Farakhkert Kingdom desert area on Sumeru, as long as you have completed the Prologue story in Mondstadt up to Act III. ‘Song of the Dragon and Freedom’.

Don’t worry if you haven’t unlocked the Kingdom of Farakhkert in Sumeru, or any nation other than Mondstadt, as the Teleport Waypoint will automatically unlock on everyone’s map after completing ‘Song of the Dragon and Freedom’.

The Teleport Waypoint you need to use is just above a Waverider on the northeast coast of the Kingdom of Farakhkert, which is northeast of Aipattravna Swap and the Barsom Hills.

Now all you have to do is use the Waverider to travel through the water and unlock Fontaine!

To get to Court of Fontaine, the main town of the region, you will need to use the aquabus at the top of the lift located in front of the Waverider.

Or, you can explore the surrounding area and take the longer way to the Court of Fontaine if you wish, but using the aquabus is much faster and gives you a chance to unlock Teleport Waypoints in the city for future use.

Version 4.0 is here! Our Fontaine guide can help you with Fontaine reputation and Lucine’s Fountain, and you can also redeem new codes for Primogems if you want Lyney, and check him out on our tier list. To upgrade Lyney, you will need a lot of Rainbow Rose and Lynette requires Lumidouce Bell. You’ll also need luck from the Pity and 50/50 systems to wish the fate of them and future banners, and you’ll always need the correct adventure rank for events. Elsewhere, we’ve got tips and tricks for beginners, Dendroculus locations, fishing locations, and TCG card locations.

Even if you have access to Fontaine, be careful because his new enemies could be too difficult to fight if you are not leveled up enough. Also, while you are free to explore as much of the land and ocean of Fontaine as you like, certain events in Fontaine will require you to have a high enough Adventure Rank level.

Whether you’re a casual player or relatively new to Genshin Impact who struggles to understand the schedule or systems, our beginner’s guide will help you break it all down, giving you some useful tips and tricks on your adventures across nations.

Hope you enjoy Fontaine!
