This event also includes the release of Mega Medicham in Pokémon Go, so if you want to experiment with this Mega Evolution, be sure to fight it in Mega Raids.

List of Pokémon from the Festival of Colors 2023 collection challenge in Pokémon Go
The Festival of Colors Collection Challenge is available until Tuesday, March 14 at 8 pm (local time). If you want to add this collection challenge to your Elite Collector Medal and collect its rewards, you must do so before this date, as the challenge will no longer be available afterward.
Here are the Pokémon in the Festival of Colors Collection and how to find them:
Shuttle.
- Koffing – In nature
- Stunky – In the wild
- Wobbuffet – In nature
- Natu – In nature
- Shuckle – In the wild
- Paras – In nature
- Krabby – In the wild
- Bruxish: in the wild and in one-star raids.
- Sand Burmy – Event Exclusive Wild Field Research Task (Catch 8 Different Pokémon Species)
- Trash Burmy – Event Exclusive Wilderness Field Research Task (Catch 8 Different Pokémon Species)
- Plant Burmy – Event Exclusive Wild Field Research Task (Catch 8 Different Pokémon Species)
- Mothim: Evolve into a male Burmy using 50 Burmy Candies.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 20,000 XP and a Decoy Module.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! Its first event is A Paldean Adventure, which sees the true launch of Gen 9 and the special research mission A Paldean Adventure. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Festival of Colors Field Research Tasks in Pokémon Go
Spinning PokéStops during the Festival of Colors event in Pokémon Go can grant you a field research task exclusive to the event.
While these tasks can, as always, be saved to your Field Research Collection and completed after this event ends, we recommend finishing them during the Festival of Colors. This is because several of these tasks will help you complete the Festival of Colors collection challenge.
Here are the Festival of Colors field research tasks in Pokémon Go:
- Reward for capturing 15 Pokémon: Alolan Grimer encounter
- Reward for capturing 5 different species of Pokémon – Castform Encounter – can be in normal, sunny, rainy or snowy form
- Reward for catching 8 different species of Pokémon – Encounter with Burmy – can be Grass, Sand or Trash
- Reward for capturing 10 different species of Pokémon: Oricorio (style depends on your region)
