Autumn has arrived in Pokémon Go, bringing a variety of berry-themed research tasks and the timed research mission The Seasons Change.
Gen 5 Normal and Grass-type Pokémon Deerling and Sawsbuck will also make their debut during this fall event, giving you the chance to add two new entries to your Pokédex.
There are also a variety of berry-based perks for you to enjoy during this event and a selection of autumn-themed Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

The dates and times of ‘The Change of Seasons’ in Pokémon Go explained
The Changing of Seasons is a special timed research quest line that runs as part of the Fall event in Pokémon Go.
It’s important to note that while the fall event will take place between Friday, October 9 and Monday, October 12, the Timed Research questline, The Seasons Change, will end on Tuesday, October 20.
Since The Seasons Change is a timed research quest line, you must complete it by Tuesday, October 20, because if you don’t, you will never be able to collect all the rewards.
The season change consists of four mission steps, and you will receive a reward for each challenge and general step you complete. The brevity of this mission is because it is a timed research challenge, so unlike untimed research missions like A Mega Discovery, it is designed to be completed in a short period of time.
Remember: you must complete Seasonal Changes by Tuesday, October 20!

Berry-Themed Research Tasks for Pokémon Go’s Fall Event
In addition to the timed research quest mentioned above, Pokémon Go’s fall event has a selection of berry-themed field research tasks that can be collected at rotating PokéStops.
These field research tasks are:
- Reward for catching 5 Grass-type Pokémon: encounter with Vulpix
- Reward for capturing 5 Poison-type Pokémon: x5 pineapple berries

As with previous events, these limited-time Field Research tasks are only available during the fall event, but you can keep them and complete them once the event ends.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Halloween event has returned, bringing with it Greavard and Houndstone. Party Play, Pokémon Go’s multiplayer feature, is here, along with the Welcome Party quest. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Everything you need to know about the Fall event in Pokémon Go
In addition to the timed research mission, there are a selection of bonuses you can take advantage of during the fall event in Pokémon Go.
First of all, the Gen 5 Pokémon Deerling and Sawsbuck will be released during the fall event.
These deer-inspired Pokémon become unique in the Pokémon universe because their appearance depends on the season they are in. This means there are four variants for both Deerling and Sawsbuck.
Sawsbuck has a different appearance depending on the season in which his original Deerling form was trapped.
While you’re hunting for a Deerling, there are a variety of berry bonuses that will be active throughout the fall event.
There is a higher chance that you will receive Berries by spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops and Gyms during the Fall event. The berries you give to your Buddy Pokémon will also be twice as effective and the candy you receive from Pinap Berries will be doubled.
You’ll also have a better chance of encountering fall-themed Pokémon during this event, both in the wild and in 5K Eggs.
Pokémon that frequently appear in the wild are:

- vulpix
- Bayleef
- Bravo! Bravo
- sudowoodo
- Yanma
- pineco
- Zigzag
- Sedot
- fungus
- Burmy topsoil
- foongus
Vulpix, Bayleef, and Hoothoot are some of the Pokémon that will appear most frequently in the wild during the Fall event.
Finally, this event marks the release of the shiny form of Kanto Vulpix and Ninetails, so keep an eye out for these Fire-type Pokémon.
