Season of Adventures Abound is the twelfth season of the game in Pokémon Go.
The highlight of Adventures Abound is the true release of Paldea’s Gen 9 Pokémon into Pokémon Go. Before we even get to the middle of September, 20 new Pokémon will be released, so make sure you have Poké Balls stocked up!
Like previous seasons, the Season of Adventure Abundance includes changes to egg pools, seasonal spawns, and which Pokémon appear in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Pokémon Go Season of Adventures Galore End Date: When will Season of Adventures Galore end?
The Season of Abundant Adventures has a start time of Friday, September 1 at 10 am (local time) and will end on Friday, December 1 at 10 am (local time).
Go Battle League Season 16 will run during this period and, as is tradition, will contain all three leagues and a selection of special cups.

Adventure Season bonuses abound in Pokémon Go
There are four bonuses that run throughout the Season of Adventures Abundance in Pokémon Go and they all relate to activities you can do with your friends. Not only will you receive more XP by leveling up your friendship, but you will also be able to open and send up to 40 gifts daily.
You’ll also deal increased damage when fighting alongside a friend in a raid!
The Pokémon encounters available through Research Advances have also changed, and like last season, there are multiple Pokémon on offer.
From Friday, September 1 to Friday, December 1, you’ll have a chance to win an encounter with Galarian Farfetch’d, Larvitar, Sableye, Bagon, Furfrou, and Goomy.

It’s important to note that, like last season, Field Research tasks now change seasonally, with the sole exception of Spinda’s Field Research task. So get ready for some new field research tasks!
Roadmap for the Season of Abundant Adventures in Pokémon Go
Below you’ll find everything we currently know about the Season of Abundant Adventures in Pokémon Go.
Let’s start with the new Pokémon arriving this season and there are a lot of them, because Adventures Abound is the true debut of Paldea’s Gen 9 Pokémon. Sure, Gimmighoul and Gholdengo were released in February, but now you can start filling out the Paldea Pokédex properly.
Pokémon Gen 9 releases are divided into two waves, and the first will occur on Tuesday, September 5 and brings:
- sprigatito
- floracat
- Meowscared
- Fuecoco
- croheat
- skeleton
- Quaxly
- Quaxwell
- quaquaval
- lechonk
- Oinkologne: male and female forms
The second wave, on Sunday September 10, sees the release of:
- nimbus
- lokix
- daddy
- Pawmo
- potato
- bombardier
- Frigibax
- Arcibax
- Baxcalibur
To help you add these new Pokémon to your Pokédex, new Special Research will be available throughout the season. It will allow you to choose one of the Gen 9 starter Pokémon (Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly) and will be available from Tuesday, September 5 at 10 am (local time) until Friday, December 1 at 9:59 am (local time ). So make sure you log into Pokémon Go at least once during this period to unlock this quest!
However, this is not the only research mission that takes place during the Season of Adventure Abundance. Timed Research: Master Ball will give you another chance to collect a Master Ball in Pokémon Go!
You have until Tuesday, November 21 at 8 pm (local time) to complete this set of challenges if you want to win the best Poké Ball ever. Once you have the Master Ball, you can use it to ensure a guaranteed catch of a Pokémon, whether it’s in the wild, in a raid, or through the Daily Adventure Incense.
The first event of the season is A Paldean Adventure, which will run from Tuesday, September 5 at 10 a.m. (local time) to Sunday, September 10 at 10 a.m. (local time). In this event, the first set of Gen 9 Pokémon will arrive in Pokémon Go, along with Unowns A, D, E, L, and P appearing globally as part of an Ultra Unlock.
There will also be a timed research mission that rewards encounters with Lechonk, along with event-exclusive field research tasks, bonuses, and a collection challenge.

The second event, Ultra Unlock: Paldea, will take place from Sunday, September 10 at 10 am (local time) until Friday, September 15 at 8 pm (local time). This is when the second wave of Gen 9 Pokémon will arrive, along with event-exclusive Field Research tasks that will reward encounters with Pawmi and a paid special research mission.
You’ll also be able to catch the Unowns in the wild and complete the Lechonk-themed timed research quest.

- Charmander Community Day Classic: Saturday, September 2
- A Paldeana Adventure – Tuesday, September 5 to Sunday, September 10
- Ultra Unlock: Paldea – From Sunday, September 10 to Wednesday, September 13
- Strange Investigation Day: Sunday, September 17
- Psychic Spectacular – Wednesday September 20 to Sunday September 24
- September Community Day: Saturday, September 23 (Pokémon unknown at time of writing)
- Out to Play: from Wednesday, September 27 to Monday, October 2
- Azurill Hatch Day – Saturday September 30
- October Community Day: Sunday, October 15 (Pokémon unknown at time of writing)
- First Community Day of November: Sunday, November 5 (Pokémon unknown at the time of writing)
- Second Community Day of November: Saturday, November 25 (Pokémon unknown at the time of writing)
Remember: At the time of writing, we don’t know some of the Pokémon that will appear during the Community Day events. They will be announced closer to the release dates.
Go Battle League Season 16 will also take place during the Season of Adventure Abundance.
Three in-person Pokémon Go City Safari events will also be held this season at the following locations:
- Seoul, South Korea: Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8
- Barcelona, Spain – Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14
- Mexico City, Mexico – Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5
Meanwhile, the following Pokémon have been confirmed for raids so far:
- Kartana (northern hemisphere): from Friday, September 1 to Friday, September 8
- Celesteela (Southern Hemisphere) – Friday, September 1 to Friday, September 8
- Kartana (southern hemisphere): from Friday, September 8 to Saturday, September 16
- Celesteela (Northern Hemisphere) – Friday, September 8 to Saturday, September 16
- Genesect (Burn Drive) – Saturday, September 16 to Saturday, September 23
- Raikou, Entei and Suicune: from Saturday, September 23 to Friday, October 6
You’ll also be able to fight Shadow Zapdos in Shadow Raids during the weekends. During weekdays, Pokémon will appear in one- and three-star Shadow Raids.
The following mega raids have been confirmed:
- Mega Manectric – Friday September 1 to Saturday September 16
- Mega Gardevoir – Saturday September 16 to Friday October 6
We also know the September Spotlight Pokémon:
- Double Evolution Wooper and XP – Tuesday, September 5
- Mankey and Double Catch Candy – Tuesday September 12
- Girafarig and Double Catch XP: Tuesday, September 19
- Growlithe and double capture of Stardust – Tuesday, September 26
Finally, as always, there will be a new selection of stickers for you to collect during the Adventures Abound Season.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Halloween event has returned, bringing with it Greavard and Houndstone. Party Play, Pokémon Go’s multiplayer feature, is here, along with the Welcome Party quest. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

What are seasons in Pokémon Go?
Originally introduced in December 2021, Seasons are periods of the game that last three months and bring together various events with a theme. During this time, a selection of new features and quality of life changes may also be added to Pokémon Go.
This includes:
- Changes to the way Pokémon appear from season to season, which may cause some creatures to appear more regularly or become rarer in the wild for limited periods of time.
- Changes to egg pools and raids.
- Spawning specific to the northern and southern hemispheres, coinciding with real-world seasons.
- Highlights specific Mega Evolutions, giving them a power boost throughout the season.
- Switch to Deerling forms.
- A new season of Go Battle League, which will have the same duration as the season itself.
- XP boosts by completing specific activities, like five-star raids, for example.
- Introduce other general improvements in the quality of life.
- A variety of events in the game.
- New Pokémon.
