Steps of the mission ‘A Melemele Adventure’ in Pokémon Go
Below you will find the steps for the A Melemele Adventure special research mission and rewards in Pokémon Go.
Since this is a special research mission, you can complete it at your own pace, but we recommend completing it before Wednesday, June 1. This is because if you complete A Melemele Adventure, along with the other themed research quests in the Alola region, you will gain free access to the end-of-season event.
However, be warned, the following section contains spoilers.

‘A Melemele Adventure’ Step 1 of 4
- Catch 10 Pokémon: Encounter with Alolan Rattata
- Send 3 gifts and add a sticker to each: 10 Poké Balls
- Catch 5 Normal Type Pokémon: Yungoos Encounter
Rewards: 500 XP, 500 Stardust, and 10 Pinap Berries
‘A Melemele Adventure’ Step 2 of 4
- Take a snapshot of a wild Pokémon: 5 Raspberries
- Use 7 Berries to Help Catch Pokémon – 10 Cool Balls
- Catch 10 Pokémon – Encounter with Pikipek
Rewards: 500 XP, 500 Stardust, and 1 Charged TM

- Catch 6 Normal Type Pokémon: Yungoos Encounter
- Catch 3 Different Species of Normal-Type Pokémon: Yungoos Encounter
- Tour 5 Pokéstops or gyms: encounter with Alolan Raticate
Rewards: 1000 XP, 1000 Stardust and 1 Premium Battle Pass

- Send 5 gifts to friends: 10 cool balls
- Catch 15 Pokémon: 7 Pineapple Berries
- Win a Raid: Encounter with Alolan Meowth
Rewards: 8000 XP, 3000 Stardust and 15 Ultra Balls
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Out to Play event is currently taking place. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
How A Melemele Adventure works in Pokémon Go
A Melemele quest was released as part of the Welcome to Alola event in Pokémon Go, but as long as you play before Wednesday, June 1, you’ll unlock this quest.
It is the first in a set of four special investigation missions focused on the Alola region, with the others focusing on Akala Island, Ula’ula Island, and Poni Island. If you complete all four research missions before Wednesday, June 1, you will have free access to an end-of-season event for the Alola Season.
However, this does not mean that A Melemele Adventure, or any other special research mission in the set, has a deadline, so if you prefer to complete them at your own pace, you can do so.
A Melemele adventure consists of four quest steps, and like all research quests in Pokémon Go, you must complete the three challenges in each step, as well as collect the rewards, to progress.
