Pokémon Dynamax Adventures Legendary Pokémon and Ultra Beasts list

You may find yourself battling a Legendary Pokémon or Ultra Beast in a Dynamax adventure, which was introduced in the Crown Tundra for Pokémon Sword and Shield.

While Ultra Beasts must be unlocked by completing all of Peony’s adventures, you’ll be able to battle and hopefully capture legendary Pokémon in Dynamax Adventures from the moment you unlock this feature.

Below you will find all the Legendary and Ultra Beast Pokémon that appear in Dynamax Adventures.

List of legendary Pokémon for Dynamax Adventures: Which legendaries are exclusive to Pokémon Sword or Shield?

Throughout your Dynamax adventure in Crown Tundra, you’ll find yourself battling legendary Pokémon from previous generations, and if you manage to defeat them, you’ll be offered the chance to catch them.

It’s important to know that while you can encounter a legendary Pokémon multiple times, you can only catch it once. This means that shiny hunters or trainers looking for specific stats may have to battle the same Legendary Pokémon multiple times, postponing the opportunity to catch it, until the correct version of that Legendary Pokémon appears in Dynmax Adventures.

Fortunately, you can keep track of up to three legendary Pokémon, either by purchasing their location from Peonia for five pieces of Dynie Ore or by finding them yourself. These logs will allow you to select this legendary as the final boss of your Dynamax adventure, ensuring you have an encounter with one of them.

A planned Ho-Oh race.

However, several of these legendary Pokémon are exclusive to Pokémon Sword or Shield, which means that when playing alone, you won’t be able to find them in Dynamax Adventures.

Fortunately, if you’re playing online, you may find yourself in a Dynamax adventure hosted by a player playing a different version of the game (Sword if you have your own shield and vice versa). So the legendary Pokémon in the Dynamax adventure can be from either game. This means you don’t have to trade or purchase the other version of the game to capture all of the legendaries available in Dynamax Adventures.

Below you can find all the legendary Pokémon, arranged in National Pokédex order, that can be found in Dynamax Adventure, including the version in which they are available:

List of Ultra Beasts for Dynamax Adventures: How to unlock Ultra Beasts in Pokémon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra explained

Legendary Pokémon aren’t the only rare creatures you can find in Dynamax Adventure. You can also find the rare Ultra Beasts if you manage to complete all of Peony’s legendary adventures in the Crown Tundra.

If you’re stuck on one of Peony’s adventures, check out the guide below:

  • Adventure 1: The sacred bonds of the ruler and the steed
  • Adventure 2: The terrible titans… lurking inside
  • Adventure 3: A legendary tree and a legendary three

Once you’ve finished all the previous quests, be sure to come back to tell Peony and after a few minor events, you’ll unlock the ability to fight Ultra Beasts in Dynamax Adventure.

Like Legendary Pokémon, Ultra Beasts will appear randomly within Dynamax Adventures, so it may take a while until you manage to find one.

When you do, you’ll have to battle and defeat it like you would any other Pokémon. If you manage to defeat it, you will have a chance to catch and keep the Ultra Beast.

There are 11 Ultra Beasts in total and they can all be found in both Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Below you can find all the Ultra Beasts that can be found in Dynamax Adventure, along with their writing, organized in National Pokédex order:
