There aren’t any shiny Pikipeks in Pokémon Go, but there are still a number of good reasons why you should try to get as many Pikipeks as you can during this week’s Spotlight Hour.
You’ll have the chance to catch as many Pikipek as you can in Pokémon Go, with the chance to catch a Pikipek with 100% perfect IV stats. There is also a Spotlight Hour bonus to enjoy while you play.
The Pikipek Spotlight Hour falls during the final hours of the Alola to Alola event, and its Collection Challenge, in Pokémon Go. Both Trumbeak and Toucannon, the evolutions of Pikipek, are part of this collection challenge, so if you haven’t completed the challenge yet, this featured hour is the perfect time to do so!

Pikipek IV stats 100% perfect in Pokémon Go
This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Pikipek with perfect IV stats.

Once you’ve captured a Pikipek with 100% IV stats, you’ll have the option to turn it into a Trumbeak with perfect stats and eventually a Toucannon. While they don’t have much influence in Go Battle League, they can be useful when fighting Team Go Rocket Grunts or in raids.
The CP values that correspond to perfect values of 15/15/15 are as follows:
- Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 780 CP
- Level 35 (maximum CP boosted by weather) – 845 CP
The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.
Is there a shiny Pikipek in Pokémon Go?
There is currently no shiny Pikipek in Pokémon Go.
Shiny Pikipek has not yet been added to the game. Generally, Alolan Pokémon in Pokémon Go do not have shiny variants, although this will likely change in the future. Unfortunately, this means that you can’t have a shiny Trumbeak or a Toucannon in Pokémon Go either.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Out to Play event is currently taking place. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
What does the shiny Pikipek look like?
Since the shiny Pikipek hasn’t been added to Pokémon Go yet, we have to look to other Pokémon games to see it. Pokémon Sun and Moon features a shiny form, which you can see in the image below:

This gives us a good idea of what the shiny Pikipek would look like if it is eventually added to Pokémon Go. We’ll have to wait and see if it will be added soon.
Other reasons to catch as many Pikipek as possible
Aside from the chance to catch a ton of Pikipek in Pokémon Go, there are other reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight:
- The bonus of this Featured Hour is the double capture of Stardust, which means you will be rewarded for each Pokémon you catch.
- If you’re a newcomer, this Featured Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Pikipek candy to fully evolve this Pokémon into Trumbeak.
- To complete the Alola to Alola Collection Challenge, you need to obtain Trumbeak and Toucannon (Pikipek’s evolutions) through evolution, so if you haven’t completed this Collection Challenge yet, this Spotlight is the perfect time! to do it!
- Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini have returned to five-star raids, so you may find yourself with other players battling this Gen 7 Legendary Pokémon.
- Thanks to Pikipek being a normal and flying type, catching a bunch during this Featured Hour will add progress to your normal and flying catch bonus medals.
Spotlight Hour events only last one hour, from 6pm to 7pm (local time), but don’t worry if you can’t participate in this week’s event. Next week, a new month will take center stage, with a whole new lineup of featured Pokémon to catch. The first will be Nosepass on Tuesday, June 7!
