New Fish and Bugs in September: Everything arriving and leaving this month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Every month a collection of new bugs, fish, and sea creatures will appear around your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Catching all the fish, bugs, and sea creatures in New Horizons will help you complete the Museum and unlock two of the Golden Tools DIY recipes.

Within Critterpedia you can find details of when each creature appears on your island, but to unlock this information you must first capture the creature in question, which is where this page comes in handy.

Like August and next October, the month is packed with creatures that come and go, so be sure to use the entire month to get everything before it’s gone.

In this page:

Animal Crossing insects, fish and sea creatures coming out in September

To allow new creatures to come to your island in New Horizons, others must leave. Before they do, you’ll want to make sure you’ve captured at least one of each creature before they leave; otherwise you will have to wait a couple of months for them to return.

If you want to avoid missing out on a creature, then it’s a good idea to catch the creatures that will leave closer to the beginning of the month. This means you won’t have to run around your island trying to catch them at the end of the month.

Our guides dedicated to insects, fish and sea creatures also contain a variety of tips to help you catch the creatures you need.
