LA Noire Street Crimes are optional side missions as you work cases in 1940s Los Angeles.

LA Noire Street Crimes
In addition to the story cases, there are a number of petty crimes that need to be taken care of on the streets of Los Angeles, and each desk has its own set.
You can allow them to appear “naturally” via a random radio message while driving during a story mission, but if you want to be sure to clear them all, it’s easier to wait until you’ve cleared all story cases from a Desk. . then exit to the main menu, go to Cases, and select The Streets of Los Angeles (Free Roam) from the list of cases on that desktop.
Crimes will now be marked on your map, allowing you to quickly travel to them. This has the added advantage that in any case involving a car chase, you won’t be penalized for causing chaos!
Street crimes in traffic tables, homicides, vices and arson
The cases themselves are pretty simple: a foot or car chase, a shooting, or a combination of two, and one that involves following a suspect, so rather than go into great detail for each of them, we just provide a list and an indication of what to expect when you get there.
street traffic crimes
- Amateur Hour: Shootout followed by foot chase.
- Army Surplus: Gunfight.
- Smart Boxing: Chase on foot.
- Cosmic Rays: Foot Chase. (The objective says not to harm the suspect, but it will be marked as completed regardless of the result.)
- Death from Above: Gunfight.
- Gang fight: shooting.
- Hotel Bandits: car chase followed by shootout.
- Hung to dry: shooting.
- Masked Gunman: Foot Pursuit.
- Pawn shop robbery: shooting.
- Shoo Shoo Bandits: Gunfight, can turn into a car chase if not resolved quickly.
- Theater robbery: Car chase followed by foot chase.
Homicide street crimes
- Banking job: shooting.
- Bowling alley robbery: Shooting followed by foot chase. Killing the criminal behind the counter sooner rather than later eliminates the chase.
- Canned Fish: Foot chase followed by car chase.
- Police Killer Shot: Gunfight.
- Death Plunge: Chase on foot.
- Honey Boy: Shootout.
- Killer Bandits: Foot chase followed by gunfight.
- Misunderstanding: Foot chase followed by shootout. If you chase fast enough, you’ll be able to fire a warning shot and end the chase before the shootout.
- Battle afoot: Case on foot will turn into a shootout if the suspect flees far enough.
- Thicker than water: car chase.
- Failed robbery: Shootout followed by foot chase.
- Vengeful Ex: Shooting.
- It would be a thief: car chase followed by a shootout.
Vice street crimes
- Against all odds: queue followed by shooting.
- Bad date: foot chase.
- The badger game: car chase.
- The Blue Line: Shooting. It can turn into a car chase if you take too long.
- Camera Obscura: Car chase. It’s hard to get him off the road, but he’ll crash eventually, so keep following him.
- Communists: shooting.
- Daylight robbery: foot chase.
- Fatal Plunge: Foot chase followed by car chase.
- Secret Keepers: Car Chase.
- Zoot Suit Riot: Shootout.

- Accident prone: chase on foot.
- Bus Stop Shooting: Shooting followed by foot chase and second shooting.
- Cafe robbery: shootout.
- Hot property: Car chase.
- Paper Sack Heist: Car Chase. If you don’t get them off the road in time, they will fall off a cliff; If this happens, just follow them.
