Hyrule Warriors – Terrako guide: How to unlock Terrako and where to find Terrako Components in Age of Calamity explained

Terrako is the little guardian you meet at the beginning of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

This robot has an important role to play in the Age of Calamity story and you will eventually be able to unlock Terrako as a playable character.

To do so, however, you must locate a number of Terrako components that, for reasons we won’t reveal, have been scattered across Hyrule.

How to unlock Terrako in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

If you want to unlock Terrako as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you must complete two tasks.

The first is to finish the game’s main campaign, which consists of 20 story missions divided into seven chapters.

Doing this will unlock Age of Calamity’s post-game content, which includes the ability to unlock Terrako.

However, before you can start playing as the little guardian, you must collect 50 Terrako components.

How to find Terrako components in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

Terrako components are one of the many materials in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and you will need to collect 50 of them if you want to unlock Terrako as a playable character.

You can earn Terrako components by completing challenges, often of fairly high levels, farming them by completing specific optional quests, and occasionally purchasing them from merchants.

We recommend assigning Terrako components to the Sheikah Sensor, so you can quickly identify exactly which challenges, quests, or other activities you need to complete to earn Terrako components.

Use the Sheikah Sensor to find rare materials.

You’ll also need to complete six Terrako Components quests, which are marked with an image of Terrako on the map.

Each mission requires you to donate a number of rare materials, such as star fragments and giant ancient cores, and, depending on the mission, a large amount of rupees.

If you are having trouble tracking these materials, we again recommend using the Sheikah Sensor to know exactly where they are.

Certain challenges will reward you with rare materials the first time you complete them.

Finally, you’ll need to complete the A Royal Investigation challenge to earn the final five Terrako components.

A Royal Investigation is a restricted, time-limited ally challenge, requiring you to play as Zelda with a recommended level of 61 for her.

For this reason, we recommend unlocking most of Zelda’s attacks and hearts and leveling her up beyond the recommended level to ensure you can complete this challenge easily.

Terrako’s return in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity explained

Once you have collected 50 Terrako components in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you will be able to complete the Return of Terrako quest.

All you need to do is select this mission from the map and agree to use all 50 Terrako components.

You will now be able to enjoy the secret ending of the game and once you finish playing, Terrako will be unlocked as a playable character.

Enjoy bringing pain to Calamity Ganon’s forces as this little robot!
