What is the contextual tap or prioritization feature in Warzone 2.0?
Winning on the Warzone 2.0 battlefield requires interacting with your operator, team, and environment in many different ways. Ultimately, there are more functions than buttons on a controller. The solution is context sensitivity: different buttons will perform multiple functions depending on where you are looking and what you are doing. In particular, the reload and interaction functions share the same default button.
So what happens if you need to reload your weapon and you’re aiming at an interactable object, like a door, at the same time? By default, reloading is done with a tap, while interactions can be done with a long press.
It works well, but the extra seconds it takes can mean the difference between life and death in a gunfight. That’s where the Prioritize feature comes into play.
This allows both reloads and interactions to occur with a simple touch, a feature previously known as contextual touch, as long as only one of the two options is available at any given time. If there is a conflict, you can prioritize which function remains a touch and which is temporarily relegated to being a longer button press.
With this option, entering vehicles, collecting loot, opening doors, and more becomes much faster. Warzone 2.0 has a fast kill time, so even shaving a few milliseconds off an action can save you when the bullets start flying.

How to activate the prioritize function in Warzone 2.0
Enabling the prioritization feature in Warzone 2.0 is a simple operation:
- Open the settings menu
- Navigate to driver settings
- Locate the Interact/Reload Behavior option
- Select Prioritize Interact or Prioritize Reload
You can change this option at any time. Both options have their place. Given the focus on combat in Warzone 2.0, prioritizing reloading tends to be a benefit more often than not. However, if your playstyle focuses on completing objectives while your team provides cover, Prioritize Interact can save you precious seconds in high-pressure situations.
