There are some ice areas located in the northern snowy area of the map, with the best ones found west and south of Brutal Bastion. If you look at the map, the ice is marked by light blue areas in the snowy regions.

Head west or south of Brutal Bastion to find areas of ice.

The largest ice area in the current Chapter 4 Season 1 is west of Brutal Bastion, near the border with Anvil Square. It also has cars for a quick getaway if you just want to do a challenge here quickly or talk to a character.

How to slide 30 meters in a row on ice in Fortnite

Once you’ve found a large enough area of ice, you’ll have to slide 30 meters straight to complete a weekly challenge. This means you have to do it all in one go, so you’ll have to gain some speed by running first and then pressing the crouch button while you’re on the ice. This is R3 in drivers and Left Ctrl on PC by default.

Press the crouch button while running to slide on the ice.

While it helps to complete the challenge if you are under the effects of Slap Juice, it is not necessary. We were able to gain enough speed and then slide enough to complete the challenge without Slap Juice increasing the resistance.

If you want a little extra help, you can find Slap Berries growing in the orange areas of your map, or Slap Juice by finding Refrigerators and destroying Slap Barrels, and occasionally in chests and as floor loot.

The slap won’t make you slide longer, but it will help you run longer, which can increase your sliding speed.

You should also claim capture points for another weekly challenge, and if you want to learn more about Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, visit our guides on boosts, how to get XP quickly, character locations, and when Geralt is coming to Fortnite.
