How to get to Rito Village in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

In order to reach Rito Village in Tears of the Kingdom, you must equip Link with cold-resistant armor before setting out, otherwise he will take damage from the ‘Unbearable Cold’ while exploring the snowy terrain.

You can also cook meals that include cold resistant ingredients, like hot peppers, to increase Link’s cold resistance for a while, but it’s best to get some armor for the long haul as you’ll be spending a lot of time. in cold climates around the Hebra and Tabantha regions.

Fortunately, the Archaic Warm Greaves you get from the Gutanbac Shrine on Big Sky Island are enough to get you to Rito’s village safely. However, for the rest of the regional freak quest in Rito Village, we recommend also purchasing the Snowquill Headdress or Snowquill Robe from the Clothing Shop when you arrive in Rito Village.

Here’s how much the Snowquill armor set pieces cost in TOTK:

  • Snow Feather Headdress – 650 Rupees
  • Snowquill Tunic – 500 rupees
  • Snowquill Pants – 1,000 rupees

You need another piece of cold resistant armor because the temperature will drop even more as you explore the surface and skies during the main quest. Again, you can cook meals to do this, but it’s much more convenient to simply equip cold-resistant armor.

The most convenient way to reach Rito Village after equipping the Archaic Warm Greaves, or eating a Cold Resistant Meal, is to fast travel to the Makurukis Shrine near the Tabantha Bridge Stable in the Hyrule Ridge region.

From here, cross the nearby bridge and follow the road past Piper Ridge, Nero Hill and Kolami Bridge. You’ll find the converted Lucky Clover Gazette stable just below the Kolami Bridge.

However, Link’s journey is not over yet, as in order to reach Rito Village from the Lucky Clover Gazette, you must find a way across the broken bridge.

Rito Village is just across the bridge at Lucky Clover Gazette, but it’s broken, so you have to find another way across.

You might be able to slip and scale the cliff through the gap if you have the frog armor pieces rewarded by Traysi in the Lucky Clover Gazette, but the easiest way to get across the Rito Village bridge is to drop a Hylian Pine Cone on it. the fire next to the bridge.

This creates a gust of wind that you can then use your paraglider to float on and then cross to the other side.

You can find some Hylian Pinecones behind and around the Lucky Clover Gazette.

Once you reach the other side, follow the path to finally reach Rito Village. Remember to purchase a piece of Snowquill armor here before continuing if you need more cold resistance!
