You need to obtain fertile land in Disney Dreamlight Valley in order to craft certain crafting items for your own needs, or as part of questlines, such as Scar’s ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest.

How to get fertile soil in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The good news is that you can find rich soil in any of the seven biomes currently available in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, it is not like other foraged materials, as you can only get rich soil randomly while harvesting.
If you need rich soil quickly, such as for Scar’s ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest, we highly recommend planting and harvesting wheat, as it only has a one-minute harvest time. We don’t have the opportunity to test whether harvesting plants that take longer to grow gives richer soil or not, but harvesting wheat alone gave us ten rich soils after harvesting around 400 wheat. This took about 20 minutes.
The Disney Dreamlight Valley September Update is here! You can now obtain Beauty and the Beast by completing the quests Into the West Wing and A Prince in Disguise. The Fairy Godmother is still in the valley, so you can continue the story through the Forgotten Memories quest. Now you can also have multiplayer houses and customize furniture. If you’re still catching up on the story, be sure to complete The Great Blizzard quest to unlock Olaf, as well as take Simba and Nala to the valley. While gardening, you should also “hang out” with a character who has a gardening bonus, as this means they will occasionally find another rich land after you find one. This gardening bonus is not limited to a single character, as you can choose which bonus each of the villagers gets when you reach a certain point in their friendship.

We also recommend bringing some meals to keep your blue energy bar full or unlocking the wishing well in the area where you are farming, so you can quickly travel between the biome and your home to fill your energy bar without having to prepare meals. . That said, growing away from your home will save the most time.
