How to Catch Kingfish in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Kingfish are found in the waters off Dazzle Beach, but they are a very rare find, so come prepared before searching for one.
The best way to catch Kingfish in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to fish the blue bubbles off Dazzle Beach at night. It is also possible to catch Kingfish in white fishing spots this way, but it doesn’t happen as often.
Blue and night fishing spots are the best places to catch Kingfish.
We start catching Kingfish more frequently after 6 pm our local time, but it seems to be more common around 8 pm according to some players on the DreamlightValley subreddit. Either way, it is best to avoid trying to catch Kingfish unless it is late or at night.

In general, we recommend fishing as many spots as you can while searching for Kingfish, as you need to get rid of those spots anyway to force a potential blue fishing spot to respawn.
If you plan on farming Kingfish, we recommend bringing some food to keep your blue energy bar full (cocoa beans are surprisingly good for this) or unlock the Wishing Well in the area you’re farming in so you can travel. quickly between the biome and your home to fill your energy bar without having to prepare meals.

While fishing, you should also “hang out” with a character who has a fishing bonus, as this means they will occasionally give you more Kingfish after you find one. This fishing bonus is not limited to a single character, as you can choose which bonus each of the villagers gets when you reach a certain point in their friendship. Just keep in mind that most of the time these extra fish don’t count towards the Dreamlight Duties or Star Path quests.
Going out with a friend with a fishing bonus will occasionally give you extra Kingfish.
Once you’re done with Kingfish, you might want to fish for some seaweed or find rich clay and soil to make crafts.
