Radiant Ore is a resource in Slime Rancher 2 that you must collect to unlock and upgrade certain tools and skills in Fabricator.

It is recommended to find out how to get Radiant Ore at the beginning of Slime Rancher 2, as it means you can unlock the Fabricator’s jetpack, which will help you reach hard-to-reach places and continue collecting new Slimes and resources.

How to get radiant ore in Slime Rancher 2
There are a few steps you need to follow first to get Radiant Ore in Slime Rancher 2. First of all, you will need to unlock the resource collector at the manufacturer by collecting x10 Cotton Plorts from Cottom Slimes. This will allow you to harvest radiant ore when you find it.
Cotton Slimes are one of the first creatures you’ll encounter at the start of your journey, so head west from the Conservatory and you’ll soon find a large field full of pink and cotton Slimes.
The Cotton Slimes’ favorite food is water lettuce, which will produce two Cotton Plorts, but you can feed them any vegetable to produce one Plort at a time. There are also some water lettuces and pogo fruits in and around the western area of the Conservatory.
Once you have x10 Cotton Plorts, head to the Science Laboratory down the stairs behind your house and shoot the x10 Cotton Plorts at the Refinery to the right of the Manufacturer. Then go to the Fabricator and create the Resource Collector.
Now that you can collect materials when you find them, keep an eye out for shiny rocks that look like squares, as they are Radiant Ore nodes. However, they are random, so we can’t tell you exactly where they will appear.
Additionally, while Radiant Ore can be found throughout Rainbow Island, we have discovered that certain areas contain much more ore than others.
Best Place to Get Radiant Ore Early in Slime Rancher 2
The best place to get and farm Radiant Ore at the beginning of Slime Rancher 2 is Ember Valley, located west of The Conservatory. Although their exact locations are random, we found x10 Radiant Ore for our Jetpack fairly quickly while searching here.

To unlock the Ember Valley area, you will first need to feed the Pink Gordo Slime in the Conservatory area until it explodes, then activate the portal beyond the exploded Gordo to travel to it.
El Gordo Rosa in Slime Rancher 2 is located in the northern corner of the blue area marked on your map, west of the cliffs you first encounter after leaving your ranch. (Our Gordo locations page lists this and others like it, all in one place.)

If you haven’t cleared the map to see exactly where we’ve marked in the image above, keep walking forward until you find a cliff, then turn left and follow the cliff around its northern side, and you’ll soon find the Fat Pink Slime.
It usually takes x30 of a Slime’s diet food to explode them and clear the path they’re blocking, but since Pink Slimes eat anything, you can feed them whatever you want. There are plenty of carrots in the area and we found a group of red pogo berries to the right of the Fatty Pink which helped us feed him quickly.
Once the Pink Gordo Slime explodes, stand on the geyser shooting water into the air, and he will shoot you too, allowing you to walk along the cliffs above and press the button on the other side to unlock the Ember Valley portal.
All you have to do now is enter that rainbow portal and you will be transported to Ember Valley, which is the best place to get and farm Radiant Ore at the beginning of Slime Rancher 2.
