How to get Goomy, Spritzee and Swirlix in the latest Pokémon Go event

Goomy, Spritzee, and Swirlix are a trio of new creatures that will make their debut in May 2021’s Luminous Legends

Each of these also has at least one evolution to discover, some of which require special circumstances to discover, all of which will help develop your Gen 6 Pokédex.

In addition to this, there is a new legendary to capture, Xerneas, which can be captured exclusively in Raids at launch.

How to get Goomy and the Sliggoo and Goodra evolutions in the latest Pokémon Go event

Goomy, described as the “weakest dragon Pokémon”, is the first in an evolutionary line of three and makes its debut in May 2021.

You can find Goomy during the Luminous Legends X event as follows:

  • Finding them in the wild (uncommon)

With only one method to find them, Goomy is the hardest to catch of the Gen 6 creatures introduced as part of the event. Although developer Niantic says spawns will only appear if you’re “extremely lucky,” early reports suggest it’s a little more available than suggested.

Once you have Goomy, there are two evolutions: Sliggoo and Goodra. Evolving Goomy into Sliggoo requires 25 Goomy Candies and then you’ll need an additional 100 Goomy Candies to turn it into Goodra; along with the additional condition of being near a Rainy Lure or the in-game weather being rain.

Once you have Spritzee, there is a single evolution, Aromatisse, which you can unlock by having Spritzee as your friend and then using an incense. Not forgetting the 50 required Spritzee candies!
