Cutiefly and Ribombee, its evolution, are two Gen 7 Pokémon that debuted in Pokémon Go during the Rising Heroes Season.

Released as part of the Spring through Spring 2023 event in Pokémon Go, these Bug and Fairy-type Pokémon join Combee and Vespiquen in the ranks of bee-inspired Pokémon. Fortunately, it is not necessary to catch a female Cutiefly to complete its evolution.

How to get Cutiefly in Pokémon Go

Cutiefly and Ribombee, its evolution, made their first appearance in Pokémon Go on Tuesday, February 4 at the beginning of the Spring into Spring 2023 event.

Here’s how to catch Cutiefly during the Spring into Spring event:

The easiest way to find Cutiefly during the Spring into Spring event is to find it in the wild. Remember to check your Poké Radar in the bottom right corner of your screen to see if Cutiefly is at a nearby PokéStop or trying to use Incense to force its appearance.

However, if you are having trouble finding Cutiefly, we recommend defeating him in a raid. Since Cutiefly is a one-star raid Pokémon, you should have no problem defeating it yourself. Just make sure you’ve chosen the right counters, which we’ll give you some tips on later!

When it comes to 2km eggs, it’s important to remember that Cutiefly shares the egg pool with seven other Pokémon. This means that while the reduced hatch distance bonus for eggs placed in incubators during Spring to Spring events makes it easier to hatch eggs, you may not get the Cutiefly you need. You also need to make sure the egg has the correct group, because Cutiefly can only be hatched from 2km eggs collected during the event.

We highly recommend catching Cutiefly during the Spring event through Spring 2023 because, as of this writing, we don’t know what its spawn rate will be once the event ends. There’s a chance that, like other recently released Pokémon, it will be difficult to find after the event ends, so it’s worth adding it to your Pokédex when you get the chance.

How to evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee in Pokémon Go

To evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee in Pokémon Go, you must collect 50 Cutiefly Candy. There are no other requirements for this evolution, so once you’ve collected enough candy, you can evolve any Cutiefly you want.

If you’re focusing on finding Cutiefly in the wild, we recommend using a Pinap Berry when trying to catch it to double your candy catch. You can also do this if you successfully defeat Cutiefly in a one-star raid.

It’s also a good idea to hatch the 2km eggs you collect during the Spring event in spring. Since Cutiefly is included in this group of eggs, you can receive double the amount of Cutiefly candy if you hatch a small bee from one of these eggs. The halved hatching distance bonus for any eggs placed in an incubator during the Spring in Spring event means that you will be able to easily hatch a good number of 2km eggs during this event.

Finally, you can always place a Cutiefly as your Pokémon friend and gradually earn candy while playing Pokémon Go.
