There are some requirements that you must meet in order to create a training manual in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Update your game
The first is that you must have updated your game to the latest version, which is ‘A Festival of Friendship’.
Collect materials
Next, you will need to collect the right ingredients to be able to create your training manual. There are five training manuals in total and each one requires a different set of materials to prepare them.

Be friends at level 10
The third requirement is that you must be a level 10 friend of a character in the valley. You can only use the training manual with a character with whom you have reached this level of friendship.

To make the Foraging Training Manual, you will need to collect the following items:
- 5,000 Dreamlight
- x30 Banana (can be found at Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow)
- x20 Blueberry (can be found at Dazzle Beach and in Forest of Valor)
- x10 Basil (grows in Peaceful Meadow)
How to make the Gardening Training Manual
To prepare the Gardening Training Manual, you must collect the following elements:
- 5,000 Dreamlight
- x40 Corn (seeds and item can be purchased from Goofy in Dazzle Beach)
- Tomato x60 (seeds and item can be purchased from Goofy in Dazzle Beach)
- x20 Carrot (seeds and item can be purchased from Goofy in Peaceful Meadow)
How to make the Mining Training Manual
To complete the Mining Training Manual, you will need to collect the following items:
- 5,000 Dreamlight
- x2 Topaz (can be mined at The Plaza)
- x2 Aquamarine (can be mined at Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor)
- x2 Peridot (can be mined at Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow)
The Disney Dreamlight Valley September Update is here! You can now obtain Beauty and the Beast by completing the quests Into the West Wing and A Prince in Disguise. How to Change Villager Roles in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To change the role of a villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley, visit them once you’ve crafted a training manual.
When you are talking to them, select the ‘Gift’ option and then click on the training manual to give it to them.
Once you hand it over, you will get a confirmation screen telling you that your role has changed and what has been changed.
