To apply a Weapon Mod in Fortnite, you need to find a Weapon Mod bank. Naturally, being able to upgrade your weapon is not an easy task and you will have to take some risks to do it. Before you think about trying to mod your weapon, we highly recommend filling your shields to max, having some healing kits, and plenty of gold to spare.
As with most things in Fortnite Underground, you’ll have to fight before you can modify your weapon. You don’t need to fight other players, but you do need to face a boss and win, then find a Vault before you can even hope to use a mod bank.

How to find and open a vault in Fortnite
You can find a Vault in any of the five locations where you find Society Bosses. This is very fortunate, since you need a Society Head Medallion to open a Vault.
Here are all the locations we’ve found Vaults so far in Fortnite Underground:

To obtain a Society Medallion to open a Vault, you must defeat one of the Society Bosses in the locations marked above and collect their Medallion once they have been defeated.

When you pick up the Medallion, a faint blue line and a lock icon will appear guiding you to the Vault location in that area. When you reach the Vault, interact with the lock outside to open it. When the Vault opens, go inside and you will find the weapon modification bench here.
How to apply a Weapon Mod in Fortnite
To apply a Weapon Mod in Fortnite, you must find the Weapon Mod bank inside a Vault and have plenty of gold to spend.
Once you find a Mod bench, walk over to it and use the command prompted to interact with it. This will open a menu containing the weapons you currently have equipped for that match. If a weapon can be modified, you will be given several options for things you want to add to it, such as scopes or magazines.

Browse the available options and select the one you want to equip. Then, look in the bottom left corner of the mod menu and you’ll see how much that specific mod costs. If you are happy with the price, use the command given to purchase it and equip it with your chosen weapon.

If a weapon cannot be modified or a specific accessory is not compatible with the chosen weapon, the menu will tell you.
