Players will soon have the chance to get their hands on a bunch of Hisuian Voltorb in Pokémon Go. It’s probably the main reason you’ll want to participate in this week’s Spotlight Hour.
There are plenty of other reasons to look forward to the Pokémon Go event. You’ll have the chance to catch as many Hisuian Voltorb as you can, with a chance of catching a Hisuian Voltorb with 100% perfect IV stats.
The Hisuian Voltorb Spotlight Hour falls on a fairly quiet day in Pokémon Go, and occurs just as the Hisuian Discoveries event comes to a close.

Hisuian Voltorb IV Stats 100% Perfect in Pokémon Go
This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Hisuian Voltorb with perfect IV stats.
Once you’ve captured a Hisuian Voltorb with 100% IV stats, you’ll have the option to convert it into a Hisuian Electrode with perfect stats. While they don’t have much influence in Go Battle League, they can be useful when fighting Team Go Rocket Grunts or in raids.
The CP values that correspond to perfect values of 15/15/15 are as follows:
- Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 865 CP
- Level 35 (maximum CP boosted by weather) – 937 CP
The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.
Is there a shiny Hisuian Voltorb in Pokémon Go?
Bad news: There is currently no shiny Hisuian Voltorb in Pokémon Go.
Hisuian Voltorb was added to Pokémon Go very recently, as part of an in-game celebration for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Its glowing version has not been added yet, which means that, unfortunately, there is no glowing Hisuian electrode either.

Remember: Attention Hours increase the number of Hisuian Voltorb that appear in the wild, so be sure to take advantage and capture as many as possible.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
What does the shiny Hisuian Voltorb look like?
While we don’t have the shiny Hisuian Voltorb in Pokémon Go yet, there is a shiny version in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It has a darker cover on top. In its evolution, Hisuian Electrode has a similar cover, but on the bottom.

Other reasons to capture as many Hisuian Voltorb as possible
Aside from the chance to catch lots of Hisuian Voltorb in Pokémon Go, there are other reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight:
- The bonus of this Featured Hour is the double capture of Stardust, which means you will be rewarded for each Pokémon you capture. Make sure you take advantage of this bonus to farm a lot of Stardust. Consider stocking up on Poke Balls before the event.
- If you’re a newcomer, this Featured Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Hisuian Voltorb candy to fully evolve this Pokémon into Hisuian Electrode.
- Thanks to Hisuian Voltorb being a Grass and Electric-type Pokémon, catching a bunch during this Spotlight Hour will add progress to your Electric and Grass catch bonus medals.
Spotlight Hour events only last one hour, from 6pm to 7pm (local time), but don’t worry if you can’t participate in this week’s event. Next week, Nidoran (female) will be in the spotlight on August 9, with the very useful double capture XP bonus.
