What are professions in Harry Potter Wizards Unite?
There are three different professions you can choose from in Niantic’s Harry Potter: Wizards Unite: Auror, Magizoologist, and Professor, which are unlocked when you reach level six.
They’re more like RPG classes than Pokémon Go’s guild-type teams, and they give you stat boosts and unique abilities, like strategic spells, that you can use in battle.
That said, they don’t complete each other, as all multiplayer is cooperative. Wizards Unite is about cooperation and working together with anyone you meet, rather than competing for control or superiority, so the lack of class rivalry (and lack of teams, factions, or houses in general) makes some sense. .
Each class has a specialty, so you’ll want to try to form a group with a good mix between the different types. The idea, as we understand it, is that it’s designed to make you feel like you’re a small group of intrepid wizards who complement each other’s skills, just like you are Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

Which profession is best to unite between Auror, Professor and Magizoologist in Harry Potter Wizards Unite?
Firstly, you’re not locked into a profession once you’ve chosen one, and skills and upgrades carry over when you change classes, giving you complete freedom over what to choose.
That said, any Scroll you’ve invested in one class doesn’t carry over to another, so it might be easier to invest in one and make it as strong as possible, than to dabble in all of them.
Generally, our advice is to choose what catches your attention the most. Niantic has said that you will want to have a mix of professions when you go to Strongholds as a team. Since Harry Potter Wizards Unite has just launched, our initial experience shows that having a balance of professions is not something you need to worry about at the beginning, although it can be when it comes to final encounters that are a little more demanding.
That said, early discussions on reddit suggest that the best profession in Harry Potter Wizards Unite is Professor, who is anecdotally known to take down enemies faster than others, while Auror feels a bit lacking in comparison.
However, don’t panic if you haven’t chosen this. There may be other talents worth having in the other two classes over time as the community gets deeper into class play. Again, you can change at any time, so if a profession seems more attractive to you, go for that.
