After a year of delay, Halo Infinite launches in full for PC and Xbox players.
Following the launch of multiplayer after a surprise beta launch last month, the campaign sees the return of Master Chief some seven years after the release of Halo 5: Guardians.

How to download and install the Halo Infinite campaign
UPDATE (December 8, 6:30 pm): The Halo Infinite campaign is now live! To start downloading, make sure you have the free multiplayer client downloaded. If it was already installed, get the latest update (for us it was around 4GB), then select the “campaign” option in the main menu and then download it. (If this does not appear, try restarting your system.)
This will take you to the “manage game” screen. Here you can download the campaign. Select it from the list, press Apply.
Now keep the client open while the campaign downloads.
Do you want to increase download speed? Then the developer 343 recommends existing the game and suspending the console to increase the download speed.
Finally, don’t forget to select skull locations as you go!

Halo Infinite release times are as follows for your region:
- United Kingdom: 18:00 hours (GMT)
- Europe: 7:00 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 1 pm (EST)
- US West Coast: 10am (PST)
This means that those in Europe will have to wait until the end of the business day before they can start downloading and playing. Great if you don’t have the day off from work, but frustrating if you expect to start playing as soon as you wake up.

Halo Infinite Preload and Download Size Explained
Not only will you have to wait until the end of the day in Europe to start playing, but preloading Halo Infinite also has its complications.
The main one is that there is no full preload of the campaign, even if you have a physical copy of the game, which requires a download anyway.
