Finding locations on the God of War treasure map is one of many optional challenges in the sprawling adventure game.
There are 12 treasure maps to find in God of War and they all lead to some pretty interesting loot along the way.
You may find yourself going off the beaten path to search for these treasures, and it’s probably best if you collect them towards the end of the game; Otherwise, you might run into incredibly strong enemies or areas you can’t reach.

8 things we wished we knew before playing God of War
Treasure Map 1: The Ship Captain’s Key
Ship Captain Key Map Location:
Near Stone Falls to the northeast on the Lake of Nine, just northeast of Buri’s Storeroom. There you will find a map in a puddle near a broken bridge between two rocks next to two doors. If you have lowered the water a second time, you will have to dock at Stone Falls and go up until you see the two doors and hang on the left.
Ship Captain Key Treasure Location:
You should be able to find the captain’s loot on Death Island. To the south, you can find a boat behind a rock, enter the boat and climb to the top to find the treasure, which is an engraving. Crest of Courage, 30 Aegir Gold and 10000 Hacksilver.
Treasure Map 2: Don’t Blink
Don’t flash Map location:
You may want to do Fafnir’s side quest, which will take you to the dwarves’ greedy warehouse, in the middle of the rotating temple you will find the map. It is quite difficult to miss and is easy to pick up when we are doing the mission.
Don’t Blink Treasure Location:
Do you remember that huge sinister face on the side of the Mountain? Yes, go there again. Under the face, before a ladder, you will find the dig spot to get 6000 Hacksilver. a Legendary Enchantment, a Glacial Catalyst, and 2 Solid Svartalfheim Steels.
Treasure Map 3: The Turtle’s Tribute
Turtle Tribute Map Location:
In the Witch’s House, make sure you are at a point in the story where you have unlocked the Shock Arrows and once again let the World Serpent lower the water again. Afterwards, you will be able to see the glowing arrows towards a Nornir chest below the Witch’s Cave. There, you can blow up a barrier with the arrows and go to the now open room to get the map.
Turtle Tribute Treasure Location:
Go and climb up the pit under the front under the house to the front of the Witch’s house, go towards the huge Turtle and you can find the digging site near the Turtle’s Head. This one is super easy and only takes a few minutes. You will get 5000 Hacksilver, 5 Soft Svartalfheim Steel, an Oblivion Stone, and an enchantment.
Treasure Map 4: The Historian
Historian’s Map Location:
Head towards the Ancient Ruins in the River to the north, and before the Great Ancient gate, you can find the map.
The location of the historian’s treasure:
Head towards Fafnir’s warehouse once again, and near the entrance near two goat statues, you will be able to find the treasure very easily, you will get 5000 Hacksilver, an Eternal Frost, 30 Aegir’s Gold and an enchantment.
Treasure Map 5: Finder’s Fee
Finder Rate Map Location:
Enter the Forgotten Caverns towards the east of the map, making sure you have lowered the water again thanks to the snake, and you can find it beyond a climbing path that the game directs you to, just hidden in a niche. on the left, just keep an eye out and you’ll find it without a problem.
Finder’s Fee Treasure Location:
Make sure you’ve completed the ‘Family Business’ side quest to gain access to the Northri Stronghold, and from there you’ll want to head to the Water Wheel, before a ledge, turn around to find a wall you’ll find. You can climb and reach the treasure to collect 10,000 Hacksilver, 10 Serpent Scales, an enchantment, and an Unbreakable Cylinder.
Treasure Map 6: Creation Island
Creation Island map location:
In Iron Cove, make sure you have eliminated the Ancient One and all other enemies in the area and proceed along the path. On the left is the treasure map.
Creation Island Treasure Location:
You can find the treasure in Buri’s warehouse, under the door at the back of the island. Head left from here towards a small pile of rocks to reveal 6,000 Hacksilver, an Eternal Frost, an Enchantment, 5 Aegir’s Gold, and 7 Serpent Fragments.
Treasure Map 7: Kneel before Thor
Kneel before Thor’s map location:
Be sure to follow Brok’s favors and choose “Deus Ex Malachite” to get this favor, which gives you access to the Landsuther Mines. From there you will reach a giant waterfall in the area, to the left you will see an elevator that will take you down where the map is located.
Kneel at the location of Thor’s treasure:
The clue is in this one’s name. In the Lake next to the statue of Thor. You can reach the treasure by going to the top of Musphelheim Tower and going around, returning and going down to reach Thor’s foot, from here head to the tip of the area to find an enchantment, an Unstable Ore, 3 Hardened Svartfalheim Steel and 20000 Hacksilver.
Treasure Map 8: Island of Light
Island of Light map location:
At the Alfheim Tower beach, you can find this map on the beach next to the tower entrance. It’s very hard to miss!
Island of Light Treasure Location:
Go to the light elf outpost once you have lowered the water again and head towards the highest point of the outpost and the treasure of an enchantment, the unbreakable cylinder, 7 Aegir gold and 7 serpent fragments will be yours .
Treasure Map 9: The Rowers of Njord
Njord Rowers Map Location:
We will once again venture into Northri Stronghold, so make sure you have earned Brok’s favor. On the Reaver ship, you’ll want to head to the deck, then go to the side and jump, then find a hole to enter the hold again inside the ship to get this treasure map.
Njord Rowers Treasure Location:
On your way to Mason Canal, you’ll want to head west to leave the ship and head towards the statues. Near the top, go right through a tunnel to find a ledge overlooking the two paddlers. Here you can find the treasure and obtain an enchantment, a glacial catalyst, 10 snake scales and 20,000 Hacksilver.
Treasure Map 10: The Last Place They Would Search
The last place they would search Map location:
Head towards the Mountain in Midgard and then head towards the large elevator claw, where you can now find an elevator. Climb to the top and head north past exploding crystals and a ladder. Head right from here to reach the map.
The last place they would search Treasure Location:
Go to the Council of Valkyries and head towards the eight thrones. From the huge faces of the mountain, go left to find the treasure of an enchantment, Unstable Ore, 5 Tempered Svartalfheim Steel and 10000 Hacksilver.

Treasure Map 11: Dead and Bloated
Dead and Bloated Treasure Map Location:
Make sure you have picked up the ‘Secondhand Soul’ side quest from Brok and then go to Volunder Mines. After fighting some bad guys, he continues down the path until he finds a fork. From the fork, go right and you can find the map.
Dead and Bloated Treasure Location:
You can find the treasure next to the corpse of a dead troll in the Raven Cliffs, from here you can find an enchantment, Oblivion Stone, 5 Soft Svartfalheim Steel and 6000 Hacksilver.
Treasure Map 12: Hunter’s Kingdom
Hunter’s Kingdom map location:
At Lookout Tower, you’ll see a small spiked island in the sand, with a Nornir chest nearby. The map is on this island and it is very difficult to miss.
Hunter’s Kingdom Treasure Location:
Near the giant gate to the southwest of Veithurgard, you can find the treasure next to a statue, which rewards you with an enchantment, a leiptir permit, 5 solid Svartfalheim steel, and 6,000 Hacksilver.
