Ghost Of Tsushima Hot Spring locations and rewards explained

The Ghost of Tsushima Hot Springs are one of the many optional activities that can be found around the world.

Composing haikus, chasing foxes, Bamboo Strikes, and occasionally saving Tsushima from an invasion can be exhausting work.

Luckily, the island is filled with idyllic, bubbling hot springs, perfect for a revitalizing soak.

This page explains where to find all the Hot Spring locations and the final reward for completing the set:

Hot springs and rewards in Ghost of Tsushima explained

Each hot spring you encounter will give Jin the option to reflect on his experiences so far, revealing some of his inner thoughts, and will also grant a small increase to his maximum health.

They’re pretty minor bonuses on their own, but they add up quickly, giving you a lot more room to experiment in combat.

Not only that, but there’s a special bonus if you complete them all, which, for spoiler reasons, we’ll explain at the bottom of this page. You can access it using the table of contents above.

There are 18 hot spring locations in total and they are spread across the game’s three main regions.

It’s worth keeping in mind that if you’re unsure of the specific location, keep an eye out for yellow birds, which will lead you to secrets like those listed below.


Here are all the Hot Spring locations, region by region…

Ghost of Tsushima Izuhara Hot Springs Locations

Rising Tree Hot Springs

North of Azamo Province, just southwest of Kii Pond.

Follow the path west until you see a rocky crop behind a patch of white flowers. The hot springs are at the top of the outcrop.

Hot springs by the sea

This is right at the southernmost point of Tsutsu province.

It’s at the back of the big house west of River Child’s Wetlands.

Tranquil Basin Hot Springs

In Tsutsu province, just west of the river that separates Tsutsu from Azamo.

It is south of the Blue Pond, or directly east of the Straw Hats’ camp.

Carved Mountain Hot Spring

In Komatsu province. Find the River Falls Bridge separating Tsutsu from Komatsu, follow it north to Komatsu and take the first left uphill.

Go right through the first wooden gate, follow the path through and out of the camp and continue until you reach a cliff on your left. Go up to find the hot springs.

Hot springs with mountain views

In the south of the province of Ariake. Looking at the world map, start on the path heading north from the ‘R’ of The Winding Trail.

Follow it north and you will see the hot springs on your left a little further up.

Golden Leaf Hot Spring

In the north of Ariake province, east of the Golden Temple. Exit the Golden Temple through the east door and continue east. Climb the cliff to reach the hot springs.

Firefly Hill Hot Springs

Northeast of Komoda province, right next to the river that separates Komoda from Hiyoshi.

There aren’t many other landmarks nearby, but you can travel east from where the “Komoda” text is on the world map, and it’s on this side of the river.

Hiyoshi Hotel Hot Spring

You’ll find this one at the beginning of the story, in the area named after him. Enjoying it. Mmmmm.

Castle Lookout Hot Springs

A little northeast of the center of Hiyoshi province, east of Fort Nakayama. Follow the road east from the Sensei Ishakawa Dojo until you reach the junction, then turn left.

Continue along the road north until you see a cliff and a watchtower on your left. Climb up, climb some more, and then feel those bubbling waters on your tired feet as Tsushima burns around you.

Swamp Tide Hot Springs

At the eastern end of Akashima Province, directly east of Akashima Village. Start from the main road that runs north to south through the Hakutaku Forest text on the world map.

Go south, then left at the junction and follow the road east. The hot springs are just to your left. There are also some angry pigs nearby, so be careful.

On the eastern edge of the map, between the provinces of Yarikawa and Kushi. Climb the stairs to the fortress overlooking Yarikawa Village, then descend the cliffs to the northeast. Glorious.

Hot springs covered in moss

Just at the end of Umugi province, southeast of Umugi cove. The easiest way to get there is from the east entrance to Umugi Cove.

Use the houses to get up to the bridge, then cross it and climb the cliffs to the east. The hot springs are a little southeast downhill.

Yoshinaka Hot Springs

South of the province of Otsuna. Start from the southwest road leading out of Mumushi Farmstead; You will notice it because of the charming atmosphere emanating from all the bodies burned into spikes.

Take the first right, then the second left along the small path and then left up the hill. The hot springs are behind the mossy hut.

Bamboo Forest Hot Spring

In the south of Kushi province, directly north of the Kushi temple. You’ll find it a little south of the Old Toyotama Hills text on the world map, at the end of a side path through the bamboo thicket.

Maple Shade Hot Springs

In the north of Kushi Province, follow the western road leading out of Fort Koyasan and then take the first left. Go right at the junction and then follow the path to the right to Hot Spring.

Jito Foothills Hot Springs

This hot spring is located northwest of the Kubara province. You’ll find it just below the ‘s’ in ‘Jito’s Foothills’.

Ghost of Tsushima Kamiagata Hot Springs Locations

There are only two hot spring locations in Kamiagata:

White mist hot springs

At the southern end of Kin Province, along the southeastern edge of the map. Leave Shimura Castle through the north gate and then follow the road.

Go right at the junction and then right again along the small path until you reach the hot springs.

Morimae Hot Springs

In the north of Kin Province, along the eastern edge of the map. Take the southern road from Izumi Village and then turn left at the intersection.

Follow the road until it turns right and continue down the cliffs until you reach the water. Continue southeast along the cliffs until you reach the hot springs.
