Fortnite - Baba Yaga location and questline: Mending machine locations explained

The Baba Yaga questline is, like IO Heist, one of the first punch card questlines released in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8.

To start this challenge, you must first visit Baba Yaga’s location and talk to her. Eventually you will find yourself tracking down the location of a repair machine in order to complete one of the missions.

Completing this mission punch card will reward you with a total of 80,000 XP, which will help you collect more Battle Stars for the Season 8 Battle Pass.

Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.

Baba Yaga’s questline and location explained in Fortnite

To start the Baba Yaga quest line in Fortnite, you need to talk to the woman in the game. She lives in the cabin next to the old IO base located on the southwestern tip of the island and near Sludgy Swamp.

Baba Yaga can be found in and around this wooden building.

Once you’ve found her, select the exclamation point when you talk to her. Once this is done, you will be able to complete their missions and you will not lose your progress if you have to leave a game or are eliminated.

Below you can find each challenge, along with the amount of XP you will receive, for the Baba Yaga challenges:

  • Mark a Medkit, Bandage, and Small Shield Potion: 12,000 XP
  • Use any of the services of a Mending Machine – 14k XP
  • Consume collected items: 16k XP
  • Restore health with fish – 18k XP
  • Use a Bandage or Medkit in The Sideways – 20k XP

Repair Machine Locations in Fortnite Explained

Repair Machines are a type of vending machine that you can find on the Fortnite map and, as the name suggests, they sell items that will allow you to restore your health or your shield.

You will need to gather some gold bars (we recommend around 100 gold bars to be safe) before attempting this challenge or you won’t be able to purchase anything.

The easiest way to find a repair machine is to visit a gas station, because they all have a repair machine on site. Once you’re there, look for a vending machine with a blue screen and that will be your repair machine!

When you are nearby, a small icon should also appear on the minimap to indicate where the repair machine is.

These are some of the locations where you can find a repair machine in Fortnite:

Don’t hesitate to visit the mending machine of your choice! However, we recommend the one north of Sludgy Swamp if you’ve managed to complete the first stage of this quest line in one match, because it should be pretty close.

We recommend visiting this mending machine.
