Fortnite – Touch a giant glowing cube, enter the Rift above Loot Lake, and search a landing pod within a meteor locations

Touching a giant glowing cube, entering the rift above Loot Lake, and searching for a landing pod inside a meteor is one of Fortnite’s many challenges.

This is part of the ‘Meteoric Rise’ challenge set, which also includes visiting different Rift zones to visit in the same match, and is required to unlock The Scientist Skin.

Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.

Below is where to find the three required locations:

Fortnite Giant Shiny Cube Location

The giant glowing cube location in Fortnite is probably the most confusing of the three on this list, as it is not in a fixed location.

Instead, it is part of a floating island that changes position from match to match.

The easiest way to spot it is by looking from the battle bus at the start of the match, where the island will be clearly visible in the air. Once you’ve seen it, fly towards it.

As you approach, you’ll notice an air cyclone leading to the island and a giant glowing cube below – this is the location you’re looking for.

You must now physically touch the giant glowing cube to complete this step of the challenge. To do this, jump onto the air cyclone and ping out of the cube. One down!

Fortnite Rift on Loot Lake location

The Rift location above Loot Lake is, as you may have guessed, at Loot Lake:

Get there and enter the surrounding Rift Zone. In the middle of this Rift Zone, there is a glowing orb.

Now physically jump into it (the low gravity of the Rift Zone will help), allowing you to teleport high above Loot Lake and, in the process, cross this part of the challenge off the list.

Missing one more!

Fortnite landing pod inside a meteorite location

You’ll find Meteor’s location high above the map, not far from Dusty Depot:

Looking from the Battle Bus, it’s pretty hard to miss:

As the name suggests, the landing pod you’re looking for is located inside the Meteor itself. So land halfway, where on the northern outer edge there is a hole that allows you to enter.

Once inside, you’ll find the landing pod against the back wall. Then you had to search for it with the message that appears to add it to your Challenge total.

As long as you’ve done this and the other two steps successfully, you’ll complete the “Touch a giant glowing cube, enter the rift above Loot Lake, and look for a landing pod inside a meteor” challenge. Excellent!
