Neymar Jr is the special skin you can earn in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
Following in the footsteps of Deadpool, Aquaman, and Wolverine from previous seasons, this is a Season 6 Battle Pass exclusive skin earned not through progression, but a series of special challenges.
By completing these challenges, you’ll unlock the Neymar Jr skin, a handful of associated items, and two Primal forms.

How to unlock Neymar Jr in Fortnite
If you want to get the Neymar Jr skin in Fortnite, you first need to purchase the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass. If you do not purchase this Battle Pass, you will not be able to participate in the associated challenges.
After purchasing the Battle Pass, starting with the v16.30 update on April 27, 2021, a special series of Neymar Jr missions will be available, which will unlock not only the skin, but also other associated rewards upon completion.
To unlock Neymar Jr’s mask, you must complete the following missions:
- Talk to an Island Soccer character (unlocks the soccer ball emote toy and Neymar Jr sign)
- Complete 3 Island Soccer Players missions (unlocks Marador loading screen)
- Complete 5 Island Soccer Players missions (unlock Neymar Jr’s suit)
You can also unlock a Back Bling and a Pickaxe by completing the following:
In short: Find the location of a soccer character and complete five of its associated missions on how many matches you need to get Neymar Jr. From there, completing the soccer ball objectives while wearing the mask grants you some bonuses as well.
That’s the default skin; There are also two Primal variants to later unlock.
How to Unlock Neymar Jr’s Shhh Emote and Primal Forms in Fortnite
Once you have the default Neymar Jr skin, there are two Primal forms to unlock. You can unlock them by using the Shhh gesture with the standard and showcase versions of the Neymar Jr skin respectively.
Getting Neymar Jr’s Primal forms works as follows:
- To unlock the Shhh emote, you must eliminate 3 opponents as Neymar Jr. Then, use Shhh with the standard skin for the first Primal form.
- To unlock Neymar Jr’s Exhibition skin and the second Primal form when using Shhh, you must complete a specific number of Epic Missions.

Ahead of launch, the number of quests required has not yet been revealed, but completing Epic Quests also unlocks the following in sequence:
- I’m ready! Spray
- Stealth Shooting Emoticon
- Hang Loose Celebration Gesture
- Aerial acrobat glider
- Display style of Neymar Jr’s suit, Jaguar Strike pickaxe and aerial acrobat glider
Once the above is done, you will have unlocked everything. Well done!

When does Neymar Jr’s skin come out and how long are the challenges available?
The Neymar Jr skin has a release date of Tuesday, April 27, 2021, when the v16.30 update will be available in the morning UK time.
The specific time is unknown, but recent updates have seen downtime between 7am and 9am BST, which is as follows in other regions:
- United Kingdom: 7 to 9 am (BST)
- Europe: 8 to 10 am (CEST)
- US East Coast: 2 am to 4 am (EDT)
- US West Coast: 11 pm April 26 to 1 am (PDT)
Again, this is an estimate, and downtime is expected to last a couple of hours and a patch will be downloaded before you can start playing.
Neymar Jr and his associated challenges will be available until the end of Season 6, which is currently scheduled for early June, giving you enough time to unlock everything.
Remember, you must have the Season 6 Battle Pass to access the challenges and unlock the skin, and once you’ve unlocked it, you can keep it forever.
