Fortnite: How to interact with equipment at any IO radar dish base explained

Are you ready to play with the enemy team? This is where to interact with the equipment at any IO satellite dish base in Fortnite.

Interacting with the team at any IO satellite dish base is one of this week’s epic quests in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.

This challenge was released during Week 11 of this season, and is the third step of the questline that involves the tasks of traveling in a Saucer and using the Reconnaissance Scanner to detect infected wildlife or an Intruder.

This particular one asks you to interact with the team at any of the IO satellite dish bases scattered around the Fortnite map.

Completing this challenge will reward you with 30k XP to help you unlock more Battle Stars for the Season 7 Battle Pass.

Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.

Explanation of how to interact with equipment at any IO satellite dish base in Fortnite

For this particular challenge, there are a total of seven IO bases that you can visit and complete the task. You only have to do this once, so feel free to choose and go to the nearest one during your travels.

At a glance, you can find the locations below:

So what exactly is equipment? Although the mission does not specify it, the task refers to orange screens that are usually placed on the antennas in each area.

You can see an example of them in the IO base located southeast of Misty Meadows, which is located on the western side of the antenna tower.

Just east of Weeping Woods, you can also find equipment to interact with on the north side of the tower.

Southwest of Dirty Docks, you’ll find another screen next to the dish once again, this time facing south.

These are only three of the seven places available. If you are having trouble with this quest when encountering other players, we recommend the IO base southwest of Slurpy Swamp, which is fairly isolated from the rest of the areas.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is here! To help you get started with this heist-themed season, we have guides on how to alert a security camera, protect data from Forecast Towers, and destroy weakened security walls or doors. There’s also a new Victory Umbrella! In the meantime, learn what the best weapons are, the current boosts, how to get XP quickly, how to use the best PC builds, and earn a crown of victory.

Once you’re in front of either screen, all you have to do is follow the “load” prompt and the mission will be over in a matter of seconds.

That’s all for this mission! If you haven’t checked it out, be sure to pick up a Lazy Lake Flower Vase and an Old Cat Food Can at Catty Corner or Craggy Cliffs while doing the Epic Quest.
