Fortnite Season 7 is just a couple of days away, which means we’ll soon be saying goodbye to the primary sections of the island.
This new season will continue the story of Agent Jones and the Zero Point, after The Foundation had to be sealed inside it. Season 7 will, of course, also bring us a host of new skins, challenges, and map changes to the Battle Pass.

When does the new Fortnite Season come out? Fortnite Season 7 Start Time and Release Date
Update (June 8): The new season is now available! Here’s a closer look at what’s been added:
Original Guide: Epic Games has confirmed that the release date for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 will be Tuesday, June 8.
If we stick to previous seasons, we can assume that the start times of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 are as follows:
- UK – 9am (BST)
- Europe – 10:00 (CEST)
- US East Coast: 4 am (PDT)
- US West Coast: 1 am (EDT)
Please note that these are just estimates and no matter what happens, there will be a downtime, along with a new patch to download.
In addition to the above, just like last season, a Fortnite Season 7 story trailer will debut online ahead of the new season’s release. You can start watching at the times below and with the following YouTube embed:

What do we know about Fortnite season 7?
Thanks to an ARG and an in-game foreshadowing, we know that the theme of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 will be aliens.
Following this theme, Season 7 has been titled ‘They’re Coming’, which has been confirmed both on the official Fortnite website and through a short promotional video.
The buildup to Season 7 began with an ARG, which stands for Alternate Reality Games. These are games where people play by completing activities in real life, either by investigating clues online or, in some cases, visiting specific locations to complete a task or find an item. If you want to investigate a currently running ARG, I recommend Catastrophe Crow, also known as Crow 64.
The Season 7 ARG began on May 22 and people began receiving strange postcards containing the phrase “They’re Coming” and a mysterious glyph. These postcards were, at first, a mystery to everyone who received them, but it soon became clear that they were part of the promotional campaign for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
At the same time, postcard-like posters began appearing around the world, in places like London. Each sign displayed a phone number for that region, but we’ll come back to those phone numbers in a moment.

As these posters and postcards appeared, several Fortnite content creators in the UK, US and Australia received DVDs and DVD players, with “They’re Coming” handwritten on the disc. Each DVD played a short video of a real-world location in its region and displayed a glyph or crop circle.
InTheLittleWood was one of the UK content creators who received said package and you can watch the video in the tweet below.
It is important to note that there are no hidden messages within these video files as they are simply promotional items for the upcoming season 7. However, the phone number audio files are a different story.
There were four phone numbers in total: one for the United Kingdom, one for Australia, one for the United States and one for Germany. After calling one of these numbers, you would find yourself listening to a pre-recorded message, approximately 30 seconds long, containing a mix of voice lines and strange sounds, because they are aliens. This prerecorded message would change several times over the course of five days.
There were four voice lines in total, the first appeared on May 24 and was a man saying, “Something strange is going on here.” The second voice line was spoken by a woman who said, “We’re still deciphering the signal.”
The third voice line that appeared in the phone messages was also spoken by a woman. She asked, ‘If any of you are good with strange signs, answer them, okay?’ This message was quickly replaced by “We have movement on the signal.” The thing is bigger and stranger than any of us thought.

When the last voice line came, it simply said, ‘Look at the heavens.’ They’ve found us.’
Now we have to talk about spectrograms.
A spectrogram is a visual representation of the frequencies contained in a piece of audio, and by manipulating pitch, people can hide a series of symbols within an audio track. As you may have noticed in the tweets above, it was revealed that, when placed into a spectrogram program, each of the pre-recorded messages contained a series of symbols.
Some of the symbols clearly hint at the impending alien invasion, while others focus on kangaroos, which could mean they will be the latest additions to the island’s wildlife.

Alien abductions and other Fortnite Season 7 trailers in-game
With the Season 7 ARG covered, let’s move on to the foreshadowing in the game. This has included a number of challenges, such as repairing damaged telescopes and investigating the downed black helicopter.
Tuning into the radio to see the downed black helicopter, you’ll discover a message from The Imagined Order, also known as IO, who were Agent Jones’ former employers. They appear to be planning some kind of operation and are moving a truck to the location, suggesting that they will be participating in upcoming events.
The third Omen Challenge will allow you to locate CB radios which, once interacted with, will allow you to hear a message from Mari, Dennis, or Turk.
Mari has started a radio program that investigates the alien sightings that occur throughout the island. She eventually catches IO’s interest and comes into contact with Doctor Slone, Agent Jones’ former boss. Dennis is another alien enthusiast and Turk is trying to find Mari after her show goes off the air.

Aside from the challenges, there have also been omens in the form of changes to the map with a crop circle similar to the one in the video sent to InTheLittleWood that appears in Colossal Crops.
Meanwhile, some players have been abducted by aliens in both The Spire and Risky Reels. Although the appearance of these alien ships is random, meaning there is no guarantee that you will find them. If you do, unfortunately you won’t be able to see the aliens and will instead find yourself in a random location on the Fortnite map.

An upcoming Loki skin was also hinted at in the loading screen given to Fortnite crew members in June. We currently do not know if this skin will be sold separately or will be a guest character that will be obtained similarly to the Neymar Jr skin from Season 6.
Finally, we have to hope that season 7 continues, in some way, the general Zero Point story. The last time Fortnite touched on this story was with the Zero Crisis event, which closed the gap between Seasons 5 and 6.
During the Zero Crisis event, we helped Agent Jones and The Foundation, a member of The Seven, prevent the Zero Point from breaking. Despite our help, the only way to save Zero Point was to seal the Foundation within Zero Point and overload the device Agent Jones used for dimensional travel.
This separated the new allies, trapped Agent Jones inside The Loop, and most importantly, deprived us of answers to some very interesting questions.
Agent Jones is a former member of the IO, and considering the Foundation attacked him on sight, it’s clear that the IO and The Seven don’t get along. The Foundation only stopped when Jones promised to take him to Genō and the sisters.
Who are the sisters? Is Genō a person, object or place?
However, we have no idea who the sisters are and whether Genō is a person or a place.
Hopefully, some of these questions will be answered in Fortnite Season 7, possibly.
