Placing alien light communication devices on mountain tops will help you complete a legendary quest in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
Appearing during Week 3, and after placing Boomboxes inside Believer Beach, this mission allows you to place four alien light communication devices in four locations in the southern corner of the map.
They are fairly close to each other, so depending on where the storm is approaching, you may be able to finish the mission in no more than two playthroughs. We recommend using the pickaxe to break everything you can find in the surroundings and building stairs to make it easier to climb.
Completing this Fortnite challenge will help you level up, so you can earn more Battle Stars by unlocking Season 7 Battle Pass skins.

Alien Light Communication Device at Mountaintop Locations in Fortnite
The four drop locations are scattered across the icy mountains in the south and southeast corners, from Misty Meadows to Catty Corner, to provide plenty of variety. Some are located right at the top of the mountain, while others are at a lower altitude.
Below you will find a map with each of the four locations; They are always marked by four blue silhouettes on the ground:
You can place an Alien Light Communication Device right in the center of the mountaintop southwest of Misty Meadows, east of the log cabin.
From there, you can head east towards the Mount F8 landmark, which is located on the western edge of the mountaintop south of Misty Meadows.
Now, start moving towards Catty Corner. You will find another location north of the base at the top of the mountain, just before the cliff. If you are looking at the map, it is aligned with the ‘CO’ of the ‘Corner’.
The last location is to the right in the center of the northern edge of the large mountain northeast of Catty Corner. We know it’s a little tricky, but once you’re at the top of the mountain, head north following the center and you’ll see the lights just before the cliff.
Once this is done, the next step is to find cat food locations in both Dirty Docks and Retail Row.
