Switch Sports Online Play Trial Access and Download Links

To access the Switch Sports online play trial, you must first register through the My Nintendo website. There is a site for each region available:

Once you are logged into your account, you will be able to redeem a code which you can then enter into the eStore. Even though it’s done through the My Nintendo rewards site, there are no points required, so as long as you have a Switch Online membership, you should be good to go from there.

Please note that those with a Nintendo Switch Lite cannot access the online play test, largely due to the motion detection controls required.

Know that you can start the download now to access the online test as soon as times are available.

What’s included in the Switch Sports online play trial?

The Switch Sports online play test focuses on three games: bowling, tennis, and chambara.

They will be played online against random players, which means you won’t be able to play against friends who are also participating in the test.

Please note that in addition to previous trial times being subject to ending early or being canceled entirely, saved trial data does not carry over to the full game.

Finally, if you’re playing, “participants are prohibited from publicly sharing information about the online playtest, including sharing screenshots or video footage of gameplay on social media.” In other words: keep the test details and images to yourself!
