Fall Guys Patch Notes: What’s New in Season 1?

Below you will find the Fall Guys Season 1 patch notes, which were released on Wednesday, June 20. These patch notes cover everything added or changed after the release of the free version of Fall Guys.

Credit for the following goes to Epic Games, as the patch notes were copied verbatim from the Fall Guys website:

New rounds and obstacles!

Free for everyone includes 7 new rounds at launch, plus 5 new obstacles!

  • Hex-A-Ring: You’ve heard of Hex-a-Gone, but have you ever tried jumping from tile to tile while the entire floor spins? It definitely sounds challenging, but it sounds like you’re ready to take it on!
  • Volleyfall: Volleyfall asks, who can throw the ball to the other side of the court without the other players returning it to yours? Whoever gets the ball to touch the other player’s ground wins!
  • Speed Circuit: Speed Circuit brings a new level of chaos and momentum to Fall Guys! Navigate through the obstacles in your path and race three laps around the course without being thrown into the misty slime.
  • Track Attack – This is really a challenge to test your Fall Guys skills. With obstacles like speed arches, jump ropes, and inflatable floors, you’re sure to learn a thing or two. For new and experienced players alike, there are many ways to reach the finish line on this iconic course of speed and agility.
  • Inflatable Party: We all love bouncy castles, but what’s it like to traverse the Blunderdome in one? The new material used in Bounce Party makes the floor bounce a lot. One jump and you’ll fly away! The bouncy track can be your friend or foe as you jump through hoops to score points.
  • The Spinner: In this Spinning Round, players appear in a spinning ring and must jump over the approaching jump ropes to avoid falling into the Slime. If you time your jump wrong, you’ll have pink slime out of your ears for weeks!
  • Blast Ball: Last but not least, welcome to Blast Ball. Players appear on a platform in the Fall Guys arena, and parts of that platform collapse over time. Collect Blast Balls and throw them to launch each other into the slime!

Further! We have a new Extra Special Secret Round launching later this season, but you’ll find out more about it soon!

Even more new things!

  • Now you can voice chat when you are at a party with your friends!
  • New shoes added to custom shows (including stadium stars)!
  • Most custom shows can now be started with as few as 2 players. Wow!
  • We’ve added new rewards, including the legendary Golden Dragon, to Crown Ranks.
  • You can now view Crown Rank progression on a separate screen.
  • You will now have weekly and marathon challenges available to complete along with the daily challenges.
  • New season pass with a whopping 100 levels, including the ability to use level skips!
  • All players will automatically have access to unlock 50 levels!
  • New store design.
  • Now you can dive and grab tails and crowns!
  • Automatic grab! Free for All features the ability to automatically grab ledges in-game and this will be enabled for all new players who join us. Beans that have been with us for a while will have autograb disabled by default (we don’t want to spoil your muscle memory), but you can change that in your Game Settings! All players will now also automatically climb grappled ledges.
  • A message will now appear when the crown is present, reminding you to grab it.

Fixes and improvements!

This list is not exhaustive, but here are the main fixes in this update!

  • Major optimizations in several areas of memory usage, reducing crash cases on PlayStation.
  • PlayStation FPS improvements in item-heavy levels like Fruit Chute, Slime Climb, Lost Temple, and more.
  • Improvements to remote queue grabbing by players experiencing high latency.
  • If multiple squads score 0 points (particularly in modes like Xtreme Squads), they will be eliminated rather than tied and advance to the next round. Fixed an vulnerability in tile levels like Thin Ice, where players could jump and avoid breaking tiles. (Thin Ice is back!)
  • Fixed a Tail Tag exploit where players could climb onto a podium and evade capture.
  • Fixed cases in Royal Fumble where the queue would disappear if the player who had it went offline.
  • Fixed pipes at the end of Pipe Dream overtaking players at the finish line.
  • Fixed Options menu appearing randomly during gameplay on PS4.
  • Fixed ‘Multiple shows selected’ being displayed when queuing for a single show at a party.
  • Fixed hoops appearing too high to reach in levels like Hoopsie Daisy.
  • Fixed players queuing together being placed in separate squads.
  • Fixed cases of players respawning in Xtreme mode.
  • Fixed Clank appearing yellow instead of red or blue in the Team Tail tag.
  • Fixed Thin Ice’s music in Finals Marathon.

Fall Guys Season 2 is here! You can play on eight new Season 2 maps and earn premium and free rewards with the Battle Pass, including Kudos, and you can get even more goodies by earning crowns and crown shards, and linking your Amazon account to get a new costume of Prime Gaming every month.

When will future Fall Guys updates arrive?

We don’t know when the next set of Fall Guys patch notes will arrive, along with associated updates. However, if you want to stay up to date with the game, we recommend following the Fall Guys Twitter Account.

Since Epic Games already posted an abbreviated version of the patch notes on this account, it’s safe to assume that they will do the same in the future.
